The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Wagner Zegers and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Caprillo misses with an attempted mid kick.
Li dodges the punch combination from Caprillo.
Caprillo lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Caprillo misses with a low kick.
Caprillo scores with a head kick. Li tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Caprillo lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Caprillo gets control of Li's arms and successfully pulls guard. Caprillo will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

David Li has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Caio Cesar Caprillo.
Li throws a low kick but it's checked well by Caprillo.
Caprillo moves in looking to clinch but Li pushes him off.

and Li counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Caprillo fails in his attempt to clinch.
Li lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Li connects with a good right hand that stumbles Caprillo. Caprillo circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that David Li will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Caprillo throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Li tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Caprillo is in Li's guard.

Li is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Li gets tackled into the cage by Caprillo. Caprillo maintains the clinch.

Caprillo throws a combination. Li tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Caprillo tries to close the distance and clinch but Li swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Li throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Caprillo wants to clinch up but Li keeps it at a distance.

and Li counters with a nice body kick.
Caprillo is breathing heavily.

Li throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Li goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Caprillo tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Li paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Li avoids the body shot from Caprillo.
Caprillo fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Li looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
David Li is winning the standup battle so far.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Caprillo shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Caprillo shoots in and drives through. Li sprawls well.
David Li has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Caio Cesar Caprillo.
Both fighters circling a little - Li finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Caio Cesar Caprillo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Li. Caprillo shrugs it off though.
Li keeps Caprillo at a distance using the push kick.

Li lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Caprillo takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Caprillo throws a right hand that Li ducks under and follows up with a left that Li also avoids with ease.
A head kick by Li - that's a beauty! Caprillo is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Li can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!

David Li bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
