Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Stewart Kelly!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Atkins and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kelly chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Swain takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Swain looks for a takedown but Kelly sprawls well.

Kelly scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Kelly stalling.
Swain could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Swain is looking to escape.
Kelly controlling the pace.
Swain tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Kelly prevents Swain from standing back up.
Kelly sitting and controlling from the half guard.
Swain gets full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Swain trying to keep a closed guard but Kelly is proving a slippery customer.
Swain is looking to stand up but Kelly isn't so interested in that idea.

Swain pushes Kelly off and gets back to his feet.

Kelly misses with a few strikes there.
Kelly throws a series of strikes that have Swain backpedaling.
Kelly throws a right hand that Swain ducks under and follows up with a left that Swain also avoids with ease.
Kelly lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Kelly fails with an attempt to clinch.
Stewart Kelly seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Swain shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kelly as he jumps to the side.
Swain throws the kick towards the body but Kelly avoids it.
Kelly misses with a wild combination.
Kelly goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Swain misses with a takedown attempt - Kelly sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Johnathan Swain. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Swain is breathing heavily.
Swain closes the distance and clinches up with Kelly, looking for a takedown. Swain pushes Kelly against the cage but Kelly circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

and Kelly counters with a nice body shot.
Swain avoids a punch combination nicely.

Kelly forces Swain back against the cage and clinches.
Kelly wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Kelly escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kelly swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Kelly moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Swain tries to keep at a distance but Kelly has taken the fight into the clinch.
Swain goes for a takedown attempt but Kelly pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Kelly lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stewart Kelly dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Swain falls off balance throwing a combination
and Kelly counters with a three punch combo that has Swain backing up. Swain nods at Kelly to acknowledge the strikes.
Kelly scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Swain shoots in but no luck this time.

Kelly fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Swain, pushing him back against the cage.

Swain breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Swain closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Horrible takedown by Swain or perhaps it was just good defense by Kelly which made him look bad.
Kelly throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Kelly misses with a double jab.
Johnathan Swain is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Kelly plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

Kelly has managed to clinch.
Kelly wants to break free but Swain has control.

Kelly is trying to break the clinch but Swain has him pressed against the cage.
Swain drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Kelly gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Kelly misses with a wild combination.

and Swain counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Swain trying to control the position from guard on top but Kelly is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Kelly pulls Swain in close to his closed guard and prevents Swain from doing any damage or advancing position.
Kelly wants to stand but Swain is controlling the position.

Kelly is pulling down on Swain's head to control his posture.
Swain tries to free his leg and advance position but Kelly is retaining full guard.

Kelly really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Swain. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

Swain scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Swain has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Swain thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.

Swain goes for an armbar but Kelly turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Kelly.

Swain has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kelly can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Swain tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Swain is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Kelly preventing the sweep.
Kelly is stalling in the full guard.
Swain wants to sweep but no luck.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Stewart Kelly will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!

Swain tries to close the distance and clinch but Kelly swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and Swain counters with a nice double leg into side control. Kelly won't be happy with that.

Kelly manages to regain half guard. Good work.

Kelly pushes Swain off looking to stand but Swain dives back in and keeps control.
