Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Vevrin Betlach (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lester Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Betlach kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Zombie. Vevrin Betlach had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

24 - 13 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lester Green! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Green closes this distance looking for a takedown but Betlach circles away. Betlach digs a good hook to Green's body.
Green moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Green takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Green has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Betlach jabs Green to the body, keeping him at a distance. Green misses with a head kick.
Green scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Betlach uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Betlach lands with an overhand left. Betlach misses with a low kick.
Nice shot by Betlach. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Green tries to land a front kick but Betlach steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Good leg kick by Betlach there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Betlach misses with a low kick. Green stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Betlach. Green scoring well with a low kick there.
Betlach throws a leg kick but Green moved away. Green misses with a body kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Betlach clobbers Green with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Green misses with a body kick. Green takes a jab right on the kisser.
Green slips a jab and a cross from Betlach.
Betlach misses with an uppercut. Green saw that one coming. Green throws a head kick that misses. Betlach scores with a punch to the head. Betlach throws a hook to the side of Green's head but Green sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Betlach throws a wild body kick that Green sees coming a mile off. Betlach keeps the fight on the outside. Green lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Green pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Jab from Betlach. Green ducks right into an uppercut from Betlach. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Betlach throws an overhand right that lands on Green's shoulder, as Green tries to avoid the shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Green thows a body kick. Betlach tries to catch it but that hurt him. Betlach scores with a nice head shot. Green takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
A jab from Betlach does it's job there. Vevrin Betlach seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Green misses with an attempted mid kick.
Betlach throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Betlach slips under a jab. Betlach swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Vevrin Betlach is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Green throws a wild body kick that Betlach sees coming a mile off. Green misses with a leg kick. Betlach lands a jab to the nose. Green takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Betlach takes a head kick and keeps coming.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Nice jab there from Betlach. Betlach looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Green blocks a leg kick. Green takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Green turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Betlach ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Green walks into a left hand. Nice body kick there by Green. Green shoots in looking for a takedown. Betlach tries to sprawl out of it but Green keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Betlach manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Betlach throws a leg kick but Green sees it coming and moves out of range. Betlach misses with a wild combination.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A leg kick checked by Betlach. Green displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Betlach throws out the jab. Betlach has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Green. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Green goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
It looks like Vevrin Betlach has been cut. Green misses with a body kick. Good standup being displayed there by Betlach as he connects with a hook. Green showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Betlach.
Betlach misses with a hook
and Green counters with a nice double leg into side control. Betlach won't be happy with that. Betlach tries to improve position but can't. Green tries to move into full mount but can't pass Betlach's legs. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Betlach tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Green wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Vevrin Betlach dominated that round. The cut man is working on Vevrin Betlach's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Green throws a sloppy head kick and Betlach moves out of range easily. Green throws a half hearted mid kick. Green moves in looking to clinch but Betlach pushes him off. Betlach throws out a powerful jab. Green drops his hands momentarily and Betlach takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Betlach throws a leg kick and Green counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Green wants to control from the top but Betlach keeps moving. Betlach is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Green defends well. Betlach trying to control the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Betlach keeping moving, preventing Green from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Betlach looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Green has picked Betlach up and slammed him! Betlach can't keep hold of the triangle and Green manages to pass to side control! Betlach is looking for a sweep. Green wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Betlach, who protects the arm well. Betlach is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Betlach is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Green off and has taken his back! Betlach is hanging on to Green's back as he tries to escape.
Green looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Green takes a big shot to the side of the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Green is really stuck here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Betlach is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Green can do to turn this around? Green is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Betlach is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Green rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Green slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Green has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Betlach can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Green trying to control the position.
Green has his foot on Betlach's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Betlach works his way back into a safe position though. Betlach trying to control but Green is working from the bottom. Green had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Betlach defends it easily. Green is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Betlach wants to pass the guard but Green is keeping the position. Lester Green has got the better of the ground game so far. Betlach trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Green manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Betlach keeping moving, preventing Green from controlling successfully. Green looking to pass the guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Betlach is trying to keep Green in close.

A close second round but Lester Green will probably get the nod - 10:9. The cut man is working on Vevrin Betlach's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Betlach throws a shot from downtown. Green moves away and avoids it. Green blocks a jab. Green checks a low kick from Betlach. Betlach lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Green staying out of range there. Green throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Betlach blocks a head kick by Green.
Green throws a half hearted mid kick. Jab, jab by Betlach - just one landing. Betlach throws a hook but Green blocks it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Betlach feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Greens jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Betlach loads up on a big right hand but Green slips the punch. Betlach moves out of range of the body kick. A big left from Betlach misses. A nice inside leg kick there by Betlach. That's going to slow Green down. Betlach throws a poor cross that misses
and Green counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Betlach tries to roll over but Green keeps him under control. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Green with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Green passes to side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Betlach is trying to improve his position. Green trying to control the action but Betlach is working from the bottom. Betlach is letting Green control him for a moment. Green is chipping away with strikes.
Betlach takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Betlach is not content to let Green control the position. Betlach can't do much from the bottom here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Green wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Betlach, who protects the arm well. Betlach is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Green off and has taken his back! Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Betlach.
Betlach doesn't have the hooks in and Green manages to turn into his guard.
Green wants to pass the guard but Betlach is keeping the position. Betlach looking to hit a scissor sweep but Green is one step ahead there. Betlach trying to keep a closed guard but Green is proving a slippery customer.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Green wants to pass the guard but Betlach is keeping the position. Betlach utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Green postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Green stays in close to Betlach's body and controls the position. Green pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Betlach is keeping the position for now. Betlach working a defensive guard here.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Lester Green. I think Green has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
