Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thor Skarsgard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marco Marcolini (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marcolini has chosen Raffaella Carra - Rumore as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marcolini looks to land a right hand but Skarsgard moved out of range.
Marcolini tries to clinch up.
Marcolini throws a leg kick but Skarsgard checks it.
Marcolini steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Skarsgard. That one must have hurt.
Skarsgard lands with a nice body punch.
Marcolini fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Skarsgard manages to avoid it.
Marcolini tries to clinch but Skarsgard moves out of range.
Marcolini takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Marcolini throws a lazy uppercut
and Skarsgard connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Marcolini tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Skarsgard was well out of range. Poor timing from Marcolini.
Skarsgard lands a high kick!
Skarsgard fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Marcolini's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Skarsgard connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Marcolini scrambles back to his feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Marcolini scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Skarsgard tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Marco Marcolini seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Marcolini shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Marcolini throws a hook to the side of Skarsgard's head but Skarsgard sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Skarsgard changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Skarsgard will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Nice uppercut lands for Skarsgard. That snapped Marcolini's head back.
Marcolini dives in for a single leg takedown but Skarsgard sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Skarsgard blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Marcolini doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Marcolini has Skarsgard pressed against the cage, preventing Skarsgard from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Skarsgard manages to break the clinch.
Skarsgard throws the kick towards the body but Marcolini avoids it.
Marcolini shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Skarsgard eats them both and turns towards Marcolini to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

It looks like Thor Skarsgard has been cut.
Skarsgard throws a quick inside leg kick.
Marcolini takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
We've been told by Skarsgard's head coaches at Ballas Only that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Marcolini thows a left - swing and a miss!
Marcolini throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Marcolini is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.

The fighters circle momentarily. Skarsgard darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Skarsgard turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Marcolini's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Marcolini takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Marcolini misses with the body kick
and Skarsgard counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Skarsgard connects with a nice looking jab.

Marcolini gets a clinch.
Skarsgard is trying to break the clinch but Marcolini has him pressed against the cage.
Skarsgard blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Skarsgard's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Marcolini takes one on the button.
Skarsgard dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Oooooh!!! Skarsgard has knocked Marcolini down with a huge combo! Skarsgard steps away and waves a wobbly Marcolini back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Marcolini is rocked!

Marcolini throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Skarsgard counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Marcolini is still on wobbly legs! Can Skarsgard finish him?
Marcolini takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Skarsgard feints and then cracks Marcolini's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Marcolini down.
Marcolini stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Skarsgard.
Marcolini seems to have recovered his senses.
Marcolini will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Thor Skarsgard has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marco Marcolini.
Skarsgard lands a jab to Marcolini's midsection.

Skarsgard is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
and Skarsgard counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Marcolini! He's just covering up as Skarsgard starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
