Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Broki Nam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kendall Rison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Broki Nam! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kendall Rison! The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Josh West and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nam connects with a jab. Rison showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Nam.
Rison chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Nam can pounce on him.
Rison walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Rison shoots in for a takedown but Nam shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Nam misses with a double jab
and Rison counters by clinching up. Nam breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. The fight stays on the outside here - Rison looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Rison cracks Nam with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Rison avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Nam uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Rison needs to keep his hands up - Nam had a free shot at his head there. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Rison swinging wildly here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nam throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Rison sees it coming and avoids it easily. Rison clinches. Rison tries for a takedown. No joy.
Nam breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Rison's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Nam connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Rison scrambles back to his feet. Nam tries to keep at a distance but Rison has taken the fight into the clinch. Rison has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Nam clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Nam might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Nam defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Rison's arms. The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Rison's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rison doesn't have the hooks in and Nam manages to turn into his guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Rison trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Nam throws a big elbow that misses. Rison wants to sweep but no luck. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Nam accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Rison working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Nam. Nam in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Nam lands a couple of decent looking shots. Rison wants to sweep here but Nam controlling him for the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rison trying to control the position.
Rison trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Nam with a flurry of punches that miss. Rison looking to control.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Nam keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Crunch! Nam slams his shin into Rison's torso. Nam with a nice cross. Nam avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Nam stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Nam wants it to stay on the feet. Broki Nam has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kendall Rison. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Rison. Nam will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nam misses with a series of wild punches.
Rison tries to clinch up but Nam circles away and keeps his distance. Broki Nam seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nam connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Rison shoots for a takedown but Nam saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Rison closes this distance looking for a takedown but Nam circles away. Rison fails in his attempt to clinch. Nam throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Rison stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Rison walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Nam tries to keep at a distance but Rison has taken the fight into the clinch. Nam misses with a punch to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Broki Nam dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Rison feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Nam is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Rison defends well. Rison stopping the sweep attempt from Nam. Rison sitting in guard, not really doing much. Kendall Rison has got the better of the ground game so far. Rison trying to control but Nam is working from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nam not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Nam has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rison throwing strikes but missing. Nam is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Nam looking to control.
Nam is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Nam stuffs the takedown. Broki Nam is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Nam avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Nam thumps Rison with a low kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Rison dives in and scores a takedown into Nam's guard. Nam looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Nam has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rison can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Rison tries to free his leg and advance position but Nam is retaining full guard. Nam looking for a guillotine here but Rison defends easily.
Nam looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Nam keeping moving, preventing Rison from controlling successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nam escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rison gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Rison tries to free his leg and advance position but Nam is retaining full guard. Nam is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Rison trying to control but Nam is working from the bottom. Rison must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Nam has an active guard here but Rison has managed to pass into half guard.
Rison really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Nam. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. It looks like Rison is going to stand back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Rison is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Nam is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Rison's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Rison's back! Nam tries to get the hooks in deep but Rison pushed the leg off. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Rison tries to escape but Nam has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Nam tries to get the hooks in deep but Rison pushed the leg off. Nam landing with strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Broki Nam will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! And we move into the final round!
Rison shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Nam as he jumps to the side. Nam connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Rison clinches with his opponent.
Rison is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Nam gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Rison gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Nam regains guard.
Rison slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Rison throwing strikes but missing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rison postures up.

That's one minute gone in the round. Rison postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Rison stopping the sweep attempt from Nam. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Nam is on top in guard.
Nam makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Rison controls Nam momentarily but Nam frees himself. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rison bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Nam's guard. Nam trying to keep a closed guard but Rison is proving a slippery customer.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Nam looking for a sweep. Not yet Nam, not yet. Rison trying to control but Nam is working from the bottom. Rison trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Broki Nam is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Nam controlling the position. Rison stopping the sweep attempt from Nam. Rison throws a big elbow that misses.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Rison has taken the fight to the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rison is struggling to control the position. Rison has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Nam after a bit of a struggle. Broki Nam has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kendall Rison. Rison turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Rison manages to end up in side control. Nam tries to improve position but can't. Nam wants to control but Rison postures up. Nam trying to remain calm as Rison controls from the top position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rison in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Rison working the body and head with strikes. Rison trying to control the action but Nam is working from the bottom. Kendall Rison has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Rison tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Rison has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
And that's the end of the fight! Kendall Rison comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Nam has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
