The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Wesley Smith and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hwang throws a head kick that misses.
Hwang turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Simpson blocks a head kick by Hwang.
Simpson throws a combination. Hwang tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Hwang throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Hwang avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Simpson misses with a double jab.
Hwang finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Simpson goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Simpson avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Hwang is still on wobbly legs! Can Simpson finish him?

Simpson shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Hwang tries to kick Simpson off but Simpson keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Hwang is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Hwang has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.
Simpson is nestled in close to Hwang, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Simpson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Hwang pushes Simpson off looking to stand but Simpson dives back in and keeps control.

Hwang really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Simpson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
