Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Simon Adabisi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dmonray Malapitan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Malapitan has chosen My Time is Now as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Simon Adabisi!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 18 - 1, fighting out of New York, Dmonray Malapitan!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Daniel Cesar and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malapitan fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Malapitan throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Adabisi counters with a one-two to the body.


Malapitan is rocked!
Malapitan shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Adabisi pinned against the ropes. Adabisi gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Malapitan misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Malapitan tries to score a power double leg takedown but Adabisi sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Malapitan somewhat.
Simon Adabisi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dmonray Malapitan.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Malapitan is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Malapitan tries to move to mount but Adabisi blocks the move with his legs.
Adabisi is not content to let Malapitan control the position.
Adabisi might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Adabisi managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Malapitan.
Adabisi knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Malapitan on the ground.

Malapitan is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Adabisi dodges the ground and pound from Malapitan.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Malapitan working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Malapitan swings around for an armbar but Adabisi sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Malapitan's guard.
Malapitan has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Adabisi is pushing down on Malapitan's leg trying to pass to half guard. Malapitan is fighting to maintain full guard but Adabisi has managed to sneak the leg through.

A lull in the action here as Adabisi stalls from top position.

It looks like Dmonray Malapitan has been cut.
Malapitan will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Malapitan wants to control from the top but Adabisi keeps moving.

Malapitan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Adabisi swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Adabisi ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Malapitan moves away.

Malapitan takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Adabisi throws a body shot but no joy.
Adabisi misses with a left hand
and Malapitan counters with a series of strikes. Adabisi will be more careful next time no doubt.
Malapitan dives in for a single leg takedown but Adabisi sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the ropes.

Adabisi will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Malapitan up against the ropes.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

We've been told by Adabisi's head coaches at The Warehouse that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Adabisi is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Malapitan can do to turn this around?
