And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Wesley Smith and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Romero takes the fight into the clinch.
Romero drags the fight down to the ground.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Romero pulls Reyes in to control the position.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Romero is on top in guard.
Romero advances to half guard.
Romero keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Romero's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Let's hope that Romero has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Romero frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Reyes is breathing heavily.
The referee warns Reyes that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Romero breaks from Reyes's wrist control and lands an elbow.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Romero working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.
Romero lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Reyes! Romero sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Reyes and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Cristian Romero!
