And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Amado throws a right hand that Leer ducks under and follows up with a left that Leer also avoids with ease.
Amado throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Amado misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Amado misses with the combination.
Leer throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Leer avoids a punch combination nicely.
A head kick misses from Leer.
Amado stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Amado wants it to stay on the feet.

Leer fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Amado to the ground. Leer is now in Amado's guard.
Leer tries to stand but Amado is controlling from the bottom.

Amado wants to improve his position but Leer is controlling well.
Leer is keen to just control but Amado is a slippery customer.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Leer shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Amado defends it nicely.
Amado lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
We've been told by Amado's head coaches at 11th Planet MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Amado misses with a head kick.
Aldo Amado is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Leer shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Aldo Amado has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Leer.

Amado lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

It looks like Mike Leer has been cut.
Leer wants to clinch.
Amado pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Leer slips a jab and a cross from Amado.

Amado throws a sloppy head kick and Leer moves out of range easily.

Leer shoots in for a double leg but Amado sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Amado throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Amado throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Leer stumbling backwards into the cage! Leer bounces back off the cage towards Amado, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Amado lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Amado celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Aldo Amado!
In his post fight interview, Aldo Amado started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
