These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riddick lands a right hook to the body.
O Palmeiras darts in and clinches Riddick up against the cage.
O Palmeiras has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Riddick is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Riddick pushes O Palmeiras back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
O Palmeiras working hard to break the clinch.
O Palmeiras managing to block the knees to the body from Riddick.
O Palmeiras tries to stall but Riddick uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
O Palmeiras blocks the elbow strike.
Riddick pushes off an throws an elbow but O Palmeiras leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Riddick lands a nice elbow.
It looks like Nunca Subestime O Palmeiras has been cut.
A frustrated look appears on O Palmeiras's face as he tries to break the clinch.
O Palmeiras wants to stall.
Riddick escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

O Palmeiras closes the distance and clinches.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
O Palmeiras is looking for a takedown.
Riddick comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
O Palmeiras manages to break the clinch.
O Palmeiras shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. O Palmeiras showed some decent athleticism there.

Nunca Subestime O Palmeiras opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
