The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Banner throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Banner uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Di Vaio.
Di Vaio throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Banner sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Di Vaio throws out a leg kick but Banner moves out of range and Di Vaio only half commits.
We've been hearing reports that Banner has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Banner closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Di Vaio did well to prevent Banner getting side control.

Banner is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Di Vaio reverses the position - he's now on top in Banner's guard.

Banner is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Banner stands up over Di Vaio, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Di Vaio is looking to cinch up a triangle. Banner throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Di Vaio's body to avoid the submission. Di Vaio has instead reached around Banner's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Di Vaio arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
