Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Stu Grimson!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ricky Butler!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Josh West and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grimson buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Butler swings for the body but Grimson moves out of range.
Butler throws a combination that misses
and Grimson makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
A jab from Butler misses.
Grimson has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Xtreme MMA in the buildup to the fight.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Grimson, as that shot connected.
Grimson cracks Butler with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Butler looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Grimson finish him?
Butler is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Grimson fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Butler is still on wobbly legs! Can Grimson finish him?
Grimson fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Butler has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Grimson connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Grimson lands a nice leg kick that just misses Butler's sensitive parts.
Grimson feints and then cracks Butler's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Butler down.
Are you kidding me?! Grimson ducked down and unloaded an uppercut from hell that sent Butler clean off his feet! Someone make me a GIF - that's knockout of the night for sure!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Stu Grimson!
