Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Humberto Cooke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Sinatra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Humberto Cooke!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Sinatra!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Alan Glass and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sinatra scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Sinatra is trying to control. Cooke wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Sinatra tries to pass to full mount but Cooke defends it.
Sinatra wants to stand up but Cooke manages to regain full guard.
Sinatra postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cooke wants to stand up but Sinatra is controlling him.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cooke has control of Sinatra's left arm, preventing Sinatra from doing any damage.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Sinatra looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Sinatra wants to control from the top but Cooke keeps moving.
Cooke wants to stand and escape but Sinatra is having none of it.
Cooke seems keen to control Sinatra's posture.
Sinatra missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Cooke working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Sinatra.
Cooke controls Sinatra momentarily but Sinatra frees himself.
Cooke keeping moving, preventing Sinatra from controlling successfully.
Sinatra with a flurry of punches that miss.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Cooke closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Sinatra to the mat! Sinatra manages to get full guard.
Cooke throws a strike but Sinatra rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.


Cooke has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sinatra can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Sinatra is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sinatra throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Cooke works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Sinatra gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Sinatra shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Cooke's guard.

Sinatra gets to his feet. Cooke looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Cooke swats away the attempt to clinch by Sinatra.

Sinatra looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

Sinatra won't allow Cooke to get back to his feet.

Sinatra is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Cooke being controlled here, momentarily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Frank Sinatra dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Sinatra is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Cooke's half guard.
Sinatra wants to stand up but Cooke is controlling the position.
Sinatra missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cooke is trying to stand.
Sinatra wants to pass the guard but Cooke is defending well.
Cooke is looking to escape.

That's one minute gone in the round.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Cooke is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Sinatra's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Sinatra's back!
Sinatra is really stuck here.
Sinatra is still trying to improve position.
Sinatra biding his time here by controlling the hands, looking to escape.

Sinatra is trying to get back to his feet but Cooke has full control of the position and if anything, Sinatra has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Sinatra avoids the strikes from Cooke.
Cooke missing with punches from the back.
Frank Sinatra has got the better of the ground game so far.
Cooke misses with punches from the back.
Sinatra has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Cooke is looking for the choke from the back position but Sinatra is controlling his hands well.
Oooh a big shot gets through from Cooke. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!
Cooke could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Sinatra is trying to break free.
Even with his hooks in, Cooke manages to miss with strikes from the back.
Cooke lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Cooke.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Cooke is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Cooke gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Cooke gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Cooke apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Cooke will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Sinatra defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Cooke.

Cooke feints and as Sinatra raises his hands in defense, Cooke changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Cooke working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Sinatra throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cooke accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Sinatra working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cooke doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Cooke manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Sinatra looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Cooke stands and steps away. Sinatra gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Sinatra tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Horrible takedown attempt by Cooke or perhaps it was just good defense by Sinatra, which made it look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Humberto Cooke. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Sinatra bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Cooke managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Sinatra.
Cooke defending against the ground and pound.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Cooke gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Sinatra has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Humberto Cooke will probably get the nod.

Cooke has his feet on Sinatra's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Sinatra performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

Sinatra wants to stand up but Cooke has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Cooke is trying to control but can't.
Cooke slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Cooke wants to stand up but Sinatra is controlling him.
Cooke not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Sinatra closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Sinatra thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Cooke's head.
Cooke is trying to maintain the position but Sinatra is very close to passing his half guard.
Cooke might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Cooke pushes Sinatra off but Sinatra dives into side control.
Sinatra passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Cooke!
Sinatra punching from mount but Cooke doing a good job of avoiding damage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Sinatra looking to control and managing it successfully.
Cooke wants to try and get back to his feet.
Cooke is squirming around, avoiding Sinatra's attempts to control the action.
Cooke slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Cooke tries to get to full guard but Sinatra has control of the leg.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Well, if Sinatra is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Frank Sinatra comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Sinatra has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
