Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Karukef Kingston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abdullah Al Abulbul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kingston comes into the arena with Basshunter- DotA blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Karukef Kingston!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Abdullah Al Abulbul!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shirou Masuda and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Al Abulbul closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Kingston is defending against the submission attempts here by Al Abulbul.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Al Abulbul working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Al Abulbul thows a huge punch but Kingston dodges it nicely.

Kingston is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Al Abulbul can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Kingston is looking to escape.

Al Abulbul is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Kingston is surviving well by controlling Al Abulbul's body position as best he can.
Kingston has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Al Abulbul cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Al Abulbul lands a couple of good shots and Kingston has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

Al Abulbul is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Kingston is defending well though. Al Abulbul let's go of the attempt for now.

Kingston knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Al Abulbul on the ground.

No joy there for Kingston, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Kingston connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Al Abulbul momentarily.

Horrible takedown attempt by Al Abulbul or perhaps it was just good defense by Kingston, which made it look bad.

Al Abulbul looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kingston with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Al Abulbul is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Kingston to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Kingston shrugs it off.

Al Abulbul tries to bum rush Kingston with a series of wild strikes but Kingston uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Al Abulbul has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Kingston moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

It looks like Abdullah Al Abulbul has been cut.
Kingston bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Karukef Kingston seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kingston throws a right and a left that both miss.
Kingston connects with a right that clearly hurt Al Abulbul. He's backed up against the cage with nowhere to go as Kingston proceeds to tee off with vicious combinations till Al Abulbul collapses and taps out under the pressure!

Karukef Kingston seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
Abdullah Al Abulbul was interviewed post fight and said 'No worries. I'm sure this fight will eventually be ruled a 'no-contest' given how my opponent here has a habit of pissing positive for steroids.'.
