Ivey kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Friday. Hitmon Lee has the better chin. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ivey throws a looping overhand right but Lee ducks down to avoid it.
Lee misses with a low kick as Ivey jumps back.
Ivey throws an overhand right that lands on Lee's shoulder, as Lee tries to avoid the shot.

and Lee counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Ivey is looking for a sweep. Lee is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Ivey has hold of Lee's hands but Lee slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Ivey wants to improve his position but Lee is controlling well.
Ivey wants to get back to full guard but Lee has passed into side control.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lee shoots in looking for a takedown but Ivey manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Lee's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Ivey looks to score with a jab to the body but Lee is just out of range.
Hitmon Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Lee jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Ivey walks away with a smile on his face. Lee gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Phil Ivey has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hitmon Lee.

Ivey feints a jab promting Lee to slip. Ivey then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Lee slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ivey jabs Lee right on the nose. Lee blinks but takes it well.
BAM! Ivey delivers a spinning backfist that drops Lee like a ragdoll! This is all oooooveeeer! He was out before he hit the ground!
