The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adalsteinn slaps away a takedown attempt from Zawadzki, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Adalsteinn digs a good hook to Zawadzki's body.
The fighters circling - Zawadzki throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Zawadzki has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Adalsteinn is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Adalsteinn throws a right and a left that both miss.
Adalsteinn bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Zawadzki's head.
It looks like David Zawadzki has been cut.
Adalsteinn connects with a good right hand that stumbles Zawadzki. Zawadzki circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Adalsteinn fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Zawadzki on the side of the head.
Nice jab there from Adalsteinn.
Zawadzki is rocked!
Adalsteinn connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Zawadzki covering up! Adalsteinn comes in with a big uppercut and Zawadzki goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Eirikur Adalsteinn!
