The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Berner drives through with a takedown into Cash's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Berner tries to free his leg and advance position but Cash is retaining full guard.
Berner wants to control from the top but Cash keeps moving.
Cash is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Cash wants to sweep here but Berner controlling him for the moment.

Berner is nestled in close to Cash, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Berner is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Cash wants to hold on but Berner pushes him away.
Berner is trying to control here but Cash has managed to regain half guard.
Berner prevents Cash from improving his position.
Berner is just content to waste time from the top position. Cash takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Berner is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Cash can do to turn this around?

Berner shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Cash napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Berner creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Cash is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Berner's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Berner thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Cash's head.
Berner is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Cash!

Cash is breathing heavily.
Berner seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Cash does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Cash wants to get back to his feet.
Berner with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

Berner shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Cash napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Cash is looking for a sweep.
Berner remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Cash pushes Berner away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Berner gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Cash is adopting a defensive guard.
Berner has gone for a leg lock! Cash slips out almost immediately though and dives into Berner's guard.
Cash won't allow Berner to sweep him here.
Micky Cash has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Cash passes into half guard under a barage of strikes.

Cash seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Berner does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
