Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dmitri Mikhailovich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Stevens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jeff Stevens! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Chris Downing and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stevens fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Mikhailovich tries to clinch up but Stevens circles away and keeps his distance. Mikhailovich instigates a clinch. Mikhailovich prevents a takedown attempt there.
Stevens is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Mikhailovich is keeping busy. Stevens tries to land knees in the clinch but Mikhailovich avoids the damage to the body. Mikhailovich stops a takedown attempt from Stevens.
Stevens is trying to stall.
Mikhailovich gets control of Stevens's arms and successfully pulls guard. Mikhailovich will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Mikhailovich pushes Stevens off and gets back to his feet.
Mikhailovich drives through and clinches with Stevens against the cage.
Mikhailovich escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Mikhailovich looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Stevens gets full guard. Stevens looking to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stevens keeping moving, preventing Mikhailovich from controlling successfully. Mikhailovich with a flurry of punches that miss. Stevens is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Stevens wants to pass to mount but Mikhailovich is defending the position. Mikhailovich controlling the position for now. Mikhailovich is staying active underneath Stevens, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Stevens not landing any meaningful shots this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Stevens missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Stevens blocks the strikes from Mikhailovich.
Stevens is thwarting Mikhailovich's attempts to control the position. Mikhailovich wants to get back to full guard.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Mikhailovich throws a hook but Stevens avoids it easily. Stevens has his takedown stuffed and Mikhailovich counters with a shoot takedown. Stevens fights it but they end up in guard. Dmitri Mikhailovich has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jeff Stevens. Mikhailovich is breathing heavily. Stevens thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Mikhailovich content to stall in guard here. Mikhailovich trying to control but Stevens is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mikhailovich is really struggling to control Stevens but he's trying to hold on to the position. Stevens looking for a sweep. Not yet Stevens, not yet. Mikhailovich forces his way into half guard. Mikhailovich tries to pass the half guard into mount. Stevens knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Stevens is looking for a sweep. Mikhailovich is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Mikhailovich is looking to advance position but Stevens won't allow it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Stevens throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mikhailovich's waist but Mikhailovich gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Stevens off to one side. Stevens fails with an attempt to clinch.
Stevens ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Stevens lands with a nice body kick. Stevens tries to clinch up. Stevens scores with the left hand. Mikhailovich knows he should have avoided that one. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Stevens. Mikhailovich scores with the left hand. Stevens knows he should have avoided that one. Stevens shoots in but no luck this time. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Mikhailovich darts in and clinches Stevens up against the cage. Mikhailovich escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Mikhailovich closes the distance and clinches. Mikhailovich gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dmitri Mikhailovich dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Stevens misses with a takedown and Mikhailovich counters with a nice double leg into guard. Mikhailovich is pushing down on Stevens's leg trying to pass to half guard. Stevens is fighting to maintain full guard but Mikhailovich has managed to sneak the leg through. Mikhailovich working Stevens over with strikes. Mikhailovich is nestled in close to Stevens, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Stevens is refusing to be controlled, as Mikhailovich sits in half guard. Stevens is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Mikhailovich wants to control but Stevens is keeping him busy. Mikhailovich drops an elbow to the side of Stevens's head. Mikhailovich is pressing down on Stevens's thigh, looking to free his foot. Stevens is holding on for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mikhailovich trying to control from Stevens's half guard. Stevens has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Stevens is on top in guard.
Mikhailovich tries to land a sweep but no joy. Mikhailovich trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Mikhailovich trying to keep a closed guard but Stevens is proving a slippery customer.
Stevens wants to control from the top but Mikhailovich keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Mikhailovich on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Mikhailovich tries to get out of the position. Mikhailovich is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Dmitri Mikhailovich overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Stevens fails with a takedown attempt. Stevens shoots for a double leg takedown but Mikhailovich sprawls well. He's pushed Stevens's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Dmitri Mikhailovich has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jeff Stevens. Excellent takedown into side control there by Mikhailovich. Mikhailovich grinds an elbow into Stevens's temple.

Mikhailovich throwing shots but missing, from side control. Stevens defending against the ground and pound. Stevens is looking for a sweep. Stevens wants to control but Mikhailovich postures up. Mikhailovich thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Mikhailovich tries to stand but Stevens is controlling his head. Mikhailovich sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Stevens is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Stevens is not content to let Mikhailovich control the position. Stevens is trying to improve his position. Mikhailovich creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Stevens sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dmitri Mikhailovich dominated that second round. That's time! Mikhailovich's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Mikhailovich scores with a takedown into Stevens's guard. Stevens has his foot on Mikhailovich's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mikhailovich works his way back into a safe position though. Mikhailovich postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Stevens controls Mikhailovich momentarily but Mikhailovich frees himself. Mikhailovich sitting in guard here, content to control. Mikhailovich stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Stevens swivels though and keeps the full guard. Mikhailovich scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Stevens is keeping the position for now. Mikhailovich postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Stevens looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Mikhailovich has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Stevens is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Mikhailovich is controlling him.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Mikhailovich closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Mikhailovich lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stevens is pressed up against the cage. Mikhailovich has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Stevens down to the mat. Stevens avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Stevens wants to clinch. Stevens gets a takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mikhailovich is trying to maintain the position but Stevens is very close to passing his half guard. Mikhailovich tries to get to full guard but Stevens has control of the leg. Dmitri Mikhailovich is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

And that's the end of the fight! Dmitri Mikhailovich showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Mikhailovich, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
