Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Goodman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luca Fietsora (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fietsora has chosen PRONG - Whose Fist Is This Anyway? as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Luca Fietsora was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fietsora blocks a low kick nicely.
Goodman has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Sun Ra and his Arkestra's training camp in the buildup to the fight.
Fietsora ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Goodman moves away.
Goodman wants to slow Fietsora down by chopping away at his legs.
Goodman takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Goodman gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Goodman throws a low kick but it's checked well by Fietsora.
A left and a right from Fietsora both land. Nice combination.

It looks like John Goodman has been cut.

Fietsora loads up on a big right hand but Goodman slips the punch.

Goodman lands a really nice looking cross but Fietsora seems unphased.

Fietsora got a little sloppy there for a moment and Goodman has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Fietsora has managed to get both his arms back between Goodman's legs - danger averted.

That was a close round but I would say that John Goodman will probably get the nod.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Goodman throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Fietsora tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Goodman is in Fietsora's guard.

Fietsora is looking for a triangle here but Goodman uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

John Goodman overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

A big strike lands for Goodman! That's really hurt Fietsora and he's turned his back - Goodman keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Goodman jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
