Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Henry Rearden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thomas Dijkman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rearden comes to the cage accompanied by Irigy Hónaljmirigy - Rúgj Chuck Norris (Chuck Norris parody by Hungarians). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Thomas Dijkman!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Sam Margolis and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dijkman pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Dijkman misses with an uppercut.
Thomas Dijkman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Rearden shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Rearden wants to control but Dijkman is keeping him busy.
Dijkman is trying to stand back up but Rearden is controlling him
Rearden wants to free his trapped foot but Dijkman is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Rearden throwing shots but Dijkman is blocking nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rearden cracks Dijkman with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Dijkman tries to reverse the position but Rearden maintains control.

We've been hearing that Rearden has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Rearden is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Dijkman to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Dijkman shrugs it off.
Dijkman is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Rearden wants to take Dijkman's back but he can't do it this time.
Rearden looking to control but Dijkman is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Dijkman is controlling an arm, preventing Rearden from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Rearden is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Dijkman is just riding it out for now. Rearden eventually gives up the hold.

Rearden connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Dijkman some visible discomfort.
Dijkman is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Rearden lands a few punches from side control.

Dijkman prevents Rearden from improving position.
Rearden working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Dijkman wants to get back to his feet but Rearden drags him back down.
Rearden creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Rearden looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Rearden is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Dijkman looks calm but he's in trouble here. Rearden gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Dijkman is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Rearden lets go of the hold and Dijkman can pop his arm back in it's socket.
