Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Arron Miles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ken Ken (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Arron Miles!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ken Ken!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, David Schapiro and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ken misses with a takedown attempt
and Miles counters with a three punch combo that has Ken backing up. Ken nods at Miles to acknowledge the strikes.
Miles leaves Ken with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Ken shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Arron Miles has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ken Ken.

Ken takes the fight into the clinch.
Miles is trying to break the clinch but Ken is controlling him.
Miles swings wildly with an uppercut but Ken uses good head movement to avoid it.
Ken tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Miles lands a hook to the side of the head.
Miles tries to circle away but Ken has him pinned against the cage.

Ken is trying to pull guard but Miles has him pressed against the cage.

Ken jumps into guard, dragging Miles to the mat.
Ken wants to sweep but no luck.
Miles working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Miles postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Miles lands a couple of digs.

Ken is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Ken trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Miles postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Ken wants to sweep here but Miles controlling him for the moment.

Miles drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Ken manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Miles has Ken in his guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Ken not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Miles has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Ken is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Miles.

Ken wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Miles, who protects the arm well.

Ken tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Ken tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Ken has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Miles tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Ken manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Ken shoots in for a double leg but Miles sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Ken looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Ken shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Miles but Miles pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Ken tries to score a power double leg takedown but Miles sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ken somewhat.
Ken buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

and Ken counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Miles is working for takedown but Ken is calmly controlling the position for now.
Ken tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Miles manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Ken is breathing heavily.
Ken gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Miles.

Miles is trying to force a seperation but Ken has the dominant position.

Ken changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Miles fights it off and pushes away nicely.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

and Miles cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
A slapping leg kick lands for Ken.
Ken dives in and grabs Miles's left leg, looking for a takedown. Miles pushes down on Ken's head and hops out.
Miles fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Miles tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Ken manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
The fight stays on the outside here - Miles looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Ken Ken seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Donk. Ken catches Miles right on the button with a cross.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Ken goes for a takedown attempt but Miles pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Ken jumps guard but Miles turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Miles gets through Ken's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Miles trying to control the position but instead, Ken has worked for underhooks and has pushed Miles into the cage.

Ken manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Miles lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Ken tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Miles postures up in Ken's guard and throws a big left but Ken blocks it.

Ken looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Miles has picked Ken up and slammed him! Ken can't keep hold of the triangle and Miles manages to pass to side control!

Miles creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Ken sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Ken tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Miles presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Miles is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Ken can do to turn this around?
Ken is trying desperately to improve position.

Arron Miles showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Miles has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
