Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cordell Conway (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Big Dipper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Big Dipper has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Cordell Conway's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cordell Conway!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Big Dipper!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Frank Dennis and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Conway stuffs the takedown attempt from Dipper. Dipper gets slowly back to his feet.
Dipper shoots in for a double leg but Conway sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Dipper fails with the takedown
and Conway counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Cordell Conway has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Big Dipper.
Nice takedown defense from Dipper. No joy for Conway on that attempt.
Dipper changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Conway tries to avoid it but Dipper manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Conway to the ground. Conway escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Conway could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

It looks like Cordell Conway has been cut.
Dipper changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Conway tries to avoid it but Dipper manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Conway to the ground. Conway escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Dipper looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Conway is fending him off so far but Dipper persists. Nope, Conway circles away and we're back to standing.
Big Dipper seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Dipper has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Conway after a bit of a struggle.

Conway tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Dipper avoids it.
Conway lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Dipper or not.
Dipper wants to get back to striking at distance but Conway won't allow it.

Conway is looking to stand up but Dipper won't let him.

Dipper had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Conway defends it easily.

Conway would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Dipper has control of Conway's left arm, preventing Conway from doing any damage.
Dipper is trying to keep Conway in close.
Conway wants to get up but he can't break Dipper's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Dipper working for a triangle but Conway defends it easily.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Dipper throws a body punch but Conway moves out of range.
Conway shoots in but no luck this time.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Dipper rushes Conway and presses him up against the cage.

Dipper jumps into guard, dragging Conway to the mat.

Dipper is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Conway defends well.

and Conway counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Conway got a little sloppy there for a moment and Dipper has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Conway has managed to get both his arms back between Dipper's legs - danger averted.
Dipper is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Conway takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Dipper looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Dipper connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

Well Dipper has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
