Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Uruk Owraa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michal Elsner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Uruk Owraa has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Uruk Owraa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Michal Elsner!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Valeri Chadov and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Owraa scores with a hook.


It looks like Michal Elsner has been cut.
Owraa throws a series of strikes that have Elsner backpedaling.
Owraa tries to clinch but Elsner is having none of it.
Elsner avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Owraa drives through and clinches with Elsner against the cage.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Elsner has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Owraa has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Elsner is trying to keep an underhook but Owraa manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Elsner tries to roll over but Owraa keeps him under control.
Elsner looks winded!
Owraa lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Owraa prevents Elsner from improving his position.
Elsner has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Owraa thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Elsner's head.
Elsner is staying active underneath Owraa, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Elsner is looking to improve his position.
Owraa lands with a punch from half guard.
Owraa wants to stand up but Elsner is controlling the position.

Owraa is looking for a kimura but Elsner is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Owraa to get the leverage.
Owraa takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Elsner tries to get to full guard but Owraa has control of the leg.

Owraa looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Elsner is pressing down on Owraa's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Owraa drops back looking for a leg! Elsner is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Elsner manages to kick Owraa off! Owraa jumps back into Elsner's guard.

Owraa stands and steps away. Elsner gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Elsner on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
A right-left combo lands from Owraa.
Owraa is looking to clinch.
Owraa throws a series of punches but Elsner avoids them all with ease.
Owraa scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Owraa scores with a one two! Elsner had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Owraa connects with a body shot.
Owraa connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Owraa misses with a series of wild punches.
Owraa lands a jab-cross combination.
Uruk Owraa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Owraa goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.


Elsner is rocked!
Owraa scores with a nice strike.
Elsner is still on wobbly legs! Can Owraa finish him?
Owraa throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Elsner's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Owraa dives in looking to finish as Elsner flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Owraa's strikes! Owraa is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Elsner's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Elsner was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Uruk Owraa!
Our winner, Uruk Owraa, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
