Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between David Van Buren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harry Gunderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Van Buren kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Till I Collapse. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, David Van Buren! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Harry Gunderson! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Paul Aken and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gunderson shoots in for a takedown but Van Buren shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Van Buren misses with a double jab.
Gunderson tries to clinch but Van Buren moves out of range. Van Buren misses with a head kick.
Gunderson slaps away a takedown attempt from Van Buren, before circling back to the center of the mat. Gunderson fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Van Buren to the ground. Gunderson is now in Van Buren's guard. Gunderson is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Van Buren pulls Gunderson in to control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gunderson is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Van Buren is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Van Buren wants to stand but Gunderson is controlling the position. Van Buren thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Gunderson looking to pass the guard. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Van Buren throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Van Buren pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Gunderson shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Van Buren napping and manages to drive through into side control! Gunderson tries to score with some ground and pound. Van Buren controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Van Buren manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gunderson trying to control the pace. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Van Buren won't allow Gunderson to pass to mount. Van Buren gets back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gunderson wants to control from the top but Van Buren keeps moving. Gunderson stands up from Van Buren's guard - Gunderson perhaps looking for a knockout. Van Buren pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Gunderson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Van Buren defends it nicely. Excellent takedown into side control there by Gunderson. Van Buren keeping his opponent close.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Van Buren is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Gunderson is controlling him well. The referee asks Gunderson politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Gunderson prefers to stall for the moment though. Van Buren wants to get back to his feet but Gunderson drags him back down. Van Buren is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Gunderson postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Harry Gunderson dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Van Buren pushes Gunderson away with a front kick. Van Buren misses with a hook. Van Buren throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Van Buren stuffs the takedown attempt from Gunderson. Gunderson gets slowly back to his feet. Van Buren throws a quick inside leg kick. A decent looking body kick lands there for Van Buren. Gunderson blocks a head kick by Van Buren.
Gunderson throws a hook but Van Buren blocks it. Nice jab there from Van Buren. Van Buren pulls out of a head kick attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Van Buren throws a sloppy head kick and Gunderson moves out of range easily. Van Buren lands a jab-cross combination. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Van Buren tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Gunderson has a takedown stuffed.
That's one minute gone in the round. Van Buren feints a jab promting Gunderson to slip. Van Buren then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Gunderson slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Van Buren throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Gunderson throws a head kick that misses. A punch combination from Van Buren misses. Van Buren throws a head kick that misses. Van Buren misses with a head kick.
Gunderson dives in and grabs Van Buren's left leg, looking for a takedown. Van Buren pushes down on Gunderson's head and hops out. David Van Buren has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Harry Gunderson. Gunderson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Gunderson slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Let's hope that Gunderson has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gunderson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Van Buren swivels though and keeps the full guard. Van Buren looking to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gunderson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Van Buren is keeping the position for now.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Van Buren shoots in but Gunderson avoids the takedown attempt easily. David Van Buren is winning the standup battle so far. Gunderson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Gunderson lands a nice forearm strike. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gunderson lands some shots froms side control. Gunderson controls the position. Van Buren is trying to get back to half guard. Van Buren is not content to let Gunderson control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gunderson tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Gunderson happy to just control the position for now. Gunderson tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
David Van Buren dominated that second round. That's time! Van Buren's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!
Van Buren throws a sloppy head kick and Gunderson counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Gunderson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Gunderson is looking to advance position but Van Buren has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Gunderson tries to improve his position but instead Van Buren has taken his back! Gunderson defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
Gunderson prevents Van Buren from getting a body triangle. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Van Buren is not going to allow Gunderson to sit and survive in this position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Van Buren controlling well, preventing Gunderson from escaping the position.
Harry Gunderson has got the better of the ground game so far. Gunderson looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Gunderson tries to roll but Van Buren sticks to his back.
Gunderson is still trying to improve position. Gunderson keeps trying to improve his position. Gunderson is keeping busy.
Gunderson just trying to survive but Van Buren is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Van Buren is trying to control but Gunderson is trying to escape here - he's now mounted.
Van Buren gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! Gunderson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Van Buren as he avoids it easily. Van Buren pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Nice takedown defense from Van Buren. No joy for Gunderson on that attempt. Gunderson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Van Buren tries to clinch there but Gunderson circles away.

Good exchange - Van Buren coming out on top. Gunderson closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Van Buren quickly recovers to half guard. Van Buren won't allow Gunderson to pass to mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Van Buren has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Gunderson is working away from the top position though. Van Buren manages to get to full guard.
Gunderson throws an elbow that misses. Van Buren uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Gunderson's guard. Nice move by Van Buren! Gunderson trying to control the position.
Gunderson looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Gunderson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Gunderson avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Van Buren accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Gunderson looking for a sweep. Not yet Gunderson, not yet. Gunderson not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Gunderson looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Gunderson has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Van Buren feints and then cracks Gunderson's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Gunderson down.
And that's the end of the fight! David Van Buren showed his dominance in that final round. I think Van Buren has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

David Van Buren decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
