Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Suzy Animale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Marlin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brian Marlin struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 157.3lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Suzy Animale looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Chris Downing and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Animale darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Animale thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Marlin to regain full guard.
Animale working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Marlin lands a good elbow from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Animale stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Marlin swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Marlin looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Animale puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Animale trying to mount his opponent but Marlin defends it.

Marlin is pushing Animale's head away, looking to escape. Animale manages to hold on to the position though.
Animale wants to control but Marlin is keeping him busy.

Animale is trying to move to mount but Marlin reverses beautifully and ends up in Animale's guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Animale takes the fight into the clinch.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Animale is trying to stall.
Marlin breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

and Animale counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Animale wants to break free but Marlin has control.

Marlin jumps into guard, dragging Animale to the mat.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Animale is in close to Marlin's body, working some short punches and elbows.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Marlin is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Marlin pushes a forearm under Animale's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Animale is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
