Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Haloti Gnata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 12 - 0, fighting out of London, Haloti Gnata!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Paul Harris!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Ackerman and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gnata moves into range and connects with a jab.
Harris misses with an uppercut.
Harris defending well as Gnata loads up on a big left hand.
A jab from Harris finds it's way through Gnata's defenses.
Harris throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gnata.
Harris throws a lazy head kick
and Gnata connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Harris punishes Gnata's body with a nice straight punch.

and Gnata counters with a head kick.
Gnata throws a lazy right hand but Harris sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Gnata tries to bum rush Harris with a series of wild strikes but Harris uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Harris throws a sloppy head kick
and Gnata makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Harris has managed to clinch.
Harris goes for a takedown attempt but Gnata pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Harris.
Gnata connects with a looping right hand.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Harris has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Gnata is trying to improve his position.

Gnata manages to work his way to half guard, despite Harris's best efforts.

Harris is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Harris is trying to control. Gnata wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Harris is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Gnata is just riding it out for now. Harris eventually gives up the hold.
Gnata has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Harris is working away from the top position though.
Gnata desperately trying to maintain half guard.

Gnata is looking for a sweep. Harris is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Harris is working for a kimura but Gnata is defending it quite comfortably.
Harris misses with a head shot. Gnata uses the momentum to regain guard.

Harris has gone for a leg lock! Gnata slips out almost immediately though and dives into Harris's guard.


Harris is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Gnata defends well.

Gnata is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Gnata wants to control from the top but Harris keeps moving.

That was a close round but I would say that Haloti Gnata will probably get the nod.

Harris looks to land a left hand but Gnata moved out of range nicely.

Gnata is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Harris needs to keep his hands up - Gnata had a free shot at his head there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

It looks like Gnata has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.

Harris shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Gnata as he avoids it easily.

Harris closes the distance and clinches up with Gnata, looking for a takedown. Harris pushes Gnata against the cage but Gnata circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Nice uppercut lands for Gnata. That snapped Harris's head back.
Harris has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.
Gnata jabs Harris right on the nose. Harris blinks but takes it well.

Harris closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Paul Harris has got the better of the ground game so far.
Gnata has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Harris is working away from the top position though.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Harris is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Gnata to slip a leg under and get back to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!



Gnata lands a big right hand that sends Harris crashing to the mat! Gnata stays standing though and waves Harris back to his feet!

Harris throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Gnata stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

and Gnata counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Harris thinking.
Harris chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Gnata can pounce on him.
This has been an exciting period of action!

and Gnata counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Gnata lands a nice hook to Harris's body. Harris takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Harris takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Harris is still on wobbly legs! Can Gnata finish him?
Harris takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Gnata cracks Harris with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Harris falls to his knees and Gnata doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:59 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Haloti Gnata!
Haloti Gnata decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
