Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dudeman Guydude (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yoshihiro Akyama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Michael Johnstone and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akyama doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Guydude moves into the clinch.
Akyama's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Guydude manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Akyama perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Akyama looks to land a strike but Guydude avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Guydude will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Akyama is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Akyama pushes down on Guydude's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Akyama thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Akyama looks for a takedown but Guydude sprawls well.

Dudeman Guydude has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yoshihiro Akyama.

Guydude is trying to ground and pound but Akyama uses the momentary lack of control by Guydude to regain half guard.

Akyama is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Akyama bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Guydude's guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Dudeman Guydude will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Akyama drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Akyama is looking to work some ground and pound but Guydude has wrist control.
Guydude is working an open guard so Akyama takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Nice takedown defense from Akyama. No joy for Guydude on that attempt.
Guydude tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Akyama manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Horrible takedown attempt by Guydude or perhaps it was just good defense by Akyama, which made it look bad.

Akyama goes for a double leg but Guydude avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Guydude continues to drive forward.

Akyama has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Guydude can't keep his opponent in guard - Akyama advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Well, if Akyama is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Akyama throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Akyama is controlling the pace.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Guydude shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Akyama pinned against the cage. Akyama gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

The fight stays on the outside here - Guydude looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Guydude is trying hard to land a takedown here. Akyama sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Guydude misses with a takedown attempt - Akyama sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Guydude leaves Akyama with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Akyama drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Akyama works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

The ground and pound from Akyama seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Akyama misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Guydude is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Guydude knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Akyama on the ground.

The crowd goes nuts as Akyama knocks Guydude out cold with a massive hammerfist! Akyama Jumps to his feet and climbs on top of the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
