PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hollis Bradbury (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vidsnik Nadso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Hollis Bradbury!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Vidsnik Nadso!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Santiago Holmes and Michael Johnstone.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nadso gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Bradbury is trying to trip Nadso. He has hold of a leg but Nadso is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Bradbury persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Nadso controls Bradbury momentarily but Bradbury frees himself.
Bradbury stays in close to Nadso's body and controls the position.

Nadso is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bradbury keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Nadso's head.
Nadso working a defensive guard but Bradbury manages to pass into side control anyway.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Nadso is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Bradbury controlling the position.

Bradbury decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Nadso tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Bradbury counters with a shoot takedown. Nadso fights it but they end up in guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bradbury might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Bradbury's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Bradbury pushes down on Nadso's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Nadso is trying to maintain the position but Bradbury is very close to passing his half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Nadso can do anything to dispel that myth.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bradbury takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Bradbury gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Bradbury takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Nadso throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Nadso tries to clinch but Bradbury is having none of it.

Nadso darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bradbury gets full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Bradbury wriggles free and stands up.
Bradbury wants to clinch up but Nadso keeps it at a distance.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Bradbury shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Nadso napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Nadso really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bradbury. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hollis Bradbury dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Nadso misses with a head kick.
Hollis Bradbury seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nadso wants to clinch up but Bradbury keeps it at a distance.
Hollis Bradbury is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Nadso avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Nadso shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Bradbury defends it nicely.
A punch combination from Bradbury misses.

Bradbury drops Nadso with a beautiful combination! Nadso stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Bradbury is looking for the KO!


Nadso is rocked!


It looks like Vidsnik Nadso has been cut.
Nadso is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Bradbury tries to bum rush Nadso with a series of wild strikes but Nadso uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Nadso is still on wobbly legs! Can Bradbury finish him?

Bradbury pushes Nadso up against the cage in a clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bradbury gets control of Nadso's arms and successfully pulls guard. Bradbury will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Bradbury scores with a short punch from the bottom.

Bradbury pushes a forearm under Nadso's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Nadso is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Hollis Bradbury!
