Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Marvin Blackwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arvad Gerber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Arvad Gerber told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Blackwell throws a head kick that misses.
Gerber avoids the body shot from Blackwell.

and Blackwell counters with a stiff right hand.
Blackwell throws the kick towards the body but Gerber avoids it.

Gerber throws a low kick but it's checked well by Blackwell.

Gerber looks to land a left hand but Blackwell moved out of range nicely.

Arvad Gerber seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Blackwell stalks Gerber and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Gerber's face. Gerber staggers backwards, shaken.

Blackwell ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Gerber fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Blackwell checks it well.
Blackwell throws a sloppy head kick and Gerber moves out of range easily.

Blackwell pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Gerber lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Gerber's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Blackwell throws a head kick that Gerber semi-blocks.
Gerber throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Gerber has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Blackwell finds it's way round the side to connect with Gerber's head.
Gerber throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Gerber throws a right hand that misses
and Blackwell comes in over the top with a devastating right hand! Gerber stumbles back against the cage, looking to regain his senses but Blackwell is on him like rabid pit bull! Gerber slumps to the ground under a storm of punches and this fight is over!
