Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Leandro Hughes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Drew Peacock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Peacock has chosen Bring The Noise by Public Enemy & Anthrax as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Leandro Hughes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Drew Peacock!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Daniel Franklin and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peacock throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Peacock connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.


It looks like Leandro Hughes has been cut.
Peacock thuds his right hand into Hughes's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Hughes on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Donk. Peacock catches Hughes right on the button with a cross.
Nice uppercut there from Peacock.
Nice defenses there by Hughes.
Peacock tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hughes was well out of range. Poor timing from Peacock.
Peacock lands a lovely overhand right.
Hughes shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Peacock cracks the inside of Hughes's front leg.
Peacock throws a lazy right hand but Hughes sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Hughes takes one on the button.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Peacock jabs Hughes to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Hughes slips a jab from Peacock.
Peacock pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Hughes takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Peacock jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.


Leandro Hughes's cut is getting worse.
Peacock lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Hughes keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Peacock scores with a jab to the head.
Peacock throws a jab but it's blocked by Hughes.
Peacock works Hughes's body with a nice hook.
Peacock swings and misses with a hook to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Peacock looks to land a right hand but Hughes moved out of range.
A slapping leg kick lands for Peacock.
Peacock is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Hughes had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Peacock catches Hughes with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
An inside leg kick lands from Peacock.
Peacock lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
A chopping leg kick lands by Peacock.
Peacock with a hook.
Peacock throws a big shot that misses.
Peacock throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Hughes on the side of the head.


Leandro Hughes's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Peacock lands the left hand.
Drew Peacock seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Peacock connects with a crisp jab.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Peacock cracks Hughes with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Hughes looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Peacock finish him?


Hughes is rocked!


Jeez, Leandro Hughes's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
BOOM! Peacock lands a beautiful left hook that drops Hughes. Hughes tries to recover but Peacock is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Hughes lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Drew Peacock!
