Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dusty Yourass (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyson Midgard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dusty Yourass had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 171.2lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yourass throws a body kick that misses.
Yourass lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Yourass gets a clinch.
Yourass tries to score a body lock takedown but Midgard shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Midgard escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Midgard lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Midgard throws a head kick but Yourass moves out of range.
Midgard lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Yourass takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A head kick lands from Midgard that sends Yourass to the canvas. Yourass tries to scramble back to his feet but Midgard brings him back down into side control.

Midgard tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Midgard has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Midgard thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Yourass jumps guard but Midgard stands there with Yourass around his waist. Yourass gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dusty Yourass. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Yourass is pushing Midgard up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Yourass seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Midgard does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Oh but Midgard is tightening it up a little... Yourass has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Yourass reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Yourass taps out! nice BJJ there by Midgard!
