PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lee Sin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adel Klemen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sin comes to the cage accompanied by Lee Sin - By Riot. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lee Sin!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Adel Klemen!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Seu Braga and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sin tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Klemen is able to avoid easily.
Klemen throws a left and a right that both miss

and Sin counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Klemen has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Sin is working away from the top position though.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Klemen can do anything to dispel that myth.
Klemen is looking to escape.
Sin is trying to control the action in half guard but Klemen is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Still in half guard, Sin seems content to control.
Sin seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Klemen does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Klemen's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Klemen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Klemen moves out of range of the body kick from Sin.

Klemen tries to close the distance and clinch but Sin swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Sin lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Klemen has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Klemen and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Klemen throws a lazy right hand but Sin sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Klemen takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Sin keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Klemen.
Sin circles away from the clinch attempt.

Klemen misses with a hook.
Nice defenses there by Sin.
Sin is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Klemen can do to turn this around?

Klemen throws a hook to the side of Sin's head but Sin sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Klemen takes a swing at Sin's ribcage but misses.
Sin blocks the body kick.
Sin shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Klemen throws an ugly left hook that misses

and Sin counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Klemen!

Sin advances nicely into full mount.
Sin fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Sin lands a big shot there that rocks Klemen but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Sin pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Sin connects with a bit shot that sees Klemen covering up! More strikes from Sin and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Sin is our winner by TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:38 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lee Sin!
Lee Sin retains his lightweight title!
Lee Sin made sure to give a little speech post fight, saying 'Blindness is no impairment against a smelly enemy.'.
