Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Takeshi Fujiwara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fabricio Valakas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Valakas is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Coolio - Gangster's Paradise. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Takeshi Fujiwara! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fabricio Valakas! The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Ryoma Takatsuka and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Valakas shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Fujiwara is trying to defend but Valakas finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Fujiwara is positioning himself well to prevent Valakas advancing to mount. Fujiwara tries to roll over but Valakas keeps him under control. Fujiwara wants to control but Valakas is keeping busy.
Valakas is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Fujiwara sees it coming and defends easily. Fujiwara tries to get to full guard but Valakas has control of the leg. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fujiwara works his way to full guard. Good work. Fujiwara not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Valakas trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Fujiwara pulls Valakas in close to prevent any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Valakas throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Valakas throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Fujiwara works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Valakas throwing strikes but missing. Fujiwara bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Valakas's guard. Valakas controls Fujiwara momentarily but Fujiwara frees himself. Valakas working for a triangle but Fujiwara defends it easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fujiwara wants to stand but Valakas has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Valakas is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Fujiwara trying to control but Valakas is working from the bottom. Fujiwara got a little sloppy there for a moment and Valakas has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Fujiwara has managed to get both his arms back between Valakas's legs - danger averted. Fujiwara is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Valakas has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Fujiwara is looking to defend but Valakas has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Fujiwara! Valakas pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Fujiwara taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Fabricio Valakas! After the fight, Fabricio Valakas was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
