The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Andrew Berry and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Trujillo showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Smith.
Smith circles away from the clinch attempt.
Smith throws a shot from downtown. Trujillo moves away and avoids it.
Smith misses with a left hand
and Trujillo counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Smith is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Smith throws an off balance right hand
and Trujillo counters with a two punch combo.
Smith swings for the body but Trujillo moves out of range.
Smith fails to land with a series of punches.
A big left from Smith misses.
Smith misses the body punch
and Trujillo counters with a three punch combo that has Smith backing up. Smith nods at Trujillo to acknowledge the strikes.
Smith paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.


It looks like Glen Trujillo has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Trujillo defending well as Smith loads up on a big left hand.

Smith moves into range and clinches up with Trujillo.
Smith is looking to break free of the clinch but Trujillo has double underhooks.
Trujillo is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Smith to keep the fight standing.

Trujillo jumps guard but Smith stands there with Trujillo around his waist. Trujillo gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Smith wants to break the clinch but can't.

Smith's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

and Trujillo counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Trujillo uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Smith.
Smith misses the shot to the body.
Smith throws a body punch but Trujillo moves out of range.
Smith misses with a lunging right hand

and Trujillo counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Smith!
Smith is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Trujillo working the ground and pound but Smith is defending the strikes.

Trujillo wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Smith, who protects the arm well.

Smith pushes Trujillo away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Trujillo gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Trujillo in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.

Smith is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Trujillo has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Trujillo looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Trujillo will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Smith tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.

Smith somehow manages to escape the mount and get back to his feet!
Smith swings for the body but Trujillo moves out of range.
Karl Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Trujillo throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Smith's head.
Smith thows a left - swing and a miss!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Some wild striking there from Smith.
Smith works Trujillo's body with a nice hook.
Smith misses with a series of wild punches.
Smith connects with a single shot there.
Smith scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Trujillo doesn't seem bothered though.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Donk. Smith catches Trujillo right on the button with a cross.

Trujillo is breathing heavily.
Smith moves in close and cracks Trujillo with a massive right hand! Trujillo, frozen momentarily in time, tumbles to the canvas, already out cold! A brutal knockout by Smith!
