Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chocolate Al (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Osmo Keinänen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, John Kavanagh and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Al lands a lovely overhand right.
Al tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Keinänen manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Al thows a leg kick but Keinänen checks it
and Keinänen counters with a shoot takedown. Al fights it but they end up in guard.
Keinänen trying to control the position from guard on top but Al is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Al wants to stand but Keinänen is controlling the position.
Keinänen loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Al is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Keinänen is pushing down on Al's leg trying to pass to half guard. Al is fighting to maintain full guard but Keinänen has managed to sneak the leg through.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Keinänen is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Keinänen rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Al makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
The fighters circle momentarily. Keinänen darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Keinänen shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Keinänen was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Keinänen wants to control but Al is keeping him busy.

Keinänen sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Al is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Al is looking to reverse the position.

An elbow from Keinänen crashes against the mat.
Al is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Keinänen has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Keinänen lands a decent elbow from side control.
Al is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Keinänen off and has taken his back!

Al has the hooks in. Keinänen is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Al is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Al stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Chocolate Al seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Al throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Al throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Keinänen connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Al connects with an inside leg kick.
Keinänen thumps Al with a low kick.
A looping hook to the body misses from Al. Keinänen does a little dance to reset his feet.
Chocolate Al is winning the standup battle so far.
Al fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Keinänen looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Al fails in his attempt to clinch.
Keinänen throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Al takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Keinänen keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Al.
Al cracks the inside of Keinänen's front leg.

Al throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Al tries to close the distance and clinch but Keinänen swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Al connects with a body shot that sends Keinänen's belly button to the back.
Chocolate Al is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Keinänen fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Al has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Al has Keinänen up against the cage in a clinch.
Al misses with a hook to the ribs.
Al lands with a left to the head.
Al is pressed up against the cage. Keinänen has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Al down to the mat. Al avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Chocolate Al has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Osmo Keinänen.
Keinänen has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Al finds it's way round the side to connect with Keinänen's head.
Keinänen throws out a loose jab but Al uses good head movement to avoid it.

Keinänen throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Al tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Keinänen is in Al's guard.
Al has control of Keinänen's left arm, preventing Keinänen from doing any damage.
Al is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Al is pulling down on Keinänen's head. It's preventing any offense from Keinänen, at least for the moment.
Al is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

We've been hearing good reports from Al's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Al gets to his feet. Keinänen looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Al lands a nice hook to Keinänen's body. Keinänen takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

and Keinänen counters with a nice double leg into side control. Al won't be happy with that.
Al manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Al tries to stand and escape but Keinänen is controlling the position.
Al stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Keinänen to get to his feet.
Horrible takedown attempt by Keinänen or perhaps it was just good defense by Al, which made it look bad.
