Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Trap (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnson has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. James Johnson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, James Johnson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 21 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jon Trap! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Jorge Garcia and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Trap looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Johnson is fending him off so far but Trap persists. Nope, Johnson circles away and we're back to standing. Jon Trap seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Trap is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Johnson's half guard. Johnson looks like he's trying to stand up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Trap winds up and cracks Johnson with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Johnson on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Johnson is trying to stand.
Trap slips a nice elbow through Johnson's hands, connecting with Johnson's forehead. Trap seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Johnson looks like he's trying to stand up.
Johnson is breathing heavily. Trap trying to control from half guard but Johnson is working away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Trap is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Trap wants to take a breather but Johnson is having none of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Trap working Johnson over with strikes. Johnson is not content to let Trap control the position. Ground and pound from Trap. Trap is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Trap slips a nice elbow through Johnson's hands, connecting with Johnson's forehead. Johnson is looking to get back to is feet but Trap passes into side control.
Trap is looking to take a break and control but Johnson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Trap lands a few punches from side control. Trap lands a few punches from side control. Trap tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Trap has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Trap in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Johnson looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Trap turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!
