Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Darrell Weber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Barron Kristo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Barron Kristo has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Darrell Weber's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Darrell Weber!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Barron Kristo!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Weber circles away from the clinch attempt
and Weber counters with an inside leg kick.

Kristo shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Weber napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Weber is looking to regain half guard here but Kristo keeps moving and retains side control.

Kristo wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Weber, who protects the arm well.
Kristo throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Weber works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Weber regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Kristo.
Weber really is a fat lump.

Kristo won't allow Weber to sweep him here.
Weber throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Weber striking off his back but it's not causing Kristo any problems.
Weber has Kristo pulled in close to control his posture.
Kristo has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Weber is proving hard to escape from.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Kristo wants to clinch but Weber slips to the side
and Weber counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Kristo is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Weber's half guard.

Kristo wants to stand up but Weber is controlling the position.
Weber is looking to control Kristo's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Weber avoid being mounted?
Kristo tries to stand and escape but Weber is controlling the position.
Kristo throws a strike but Weber avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Weber might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Kristo throws a big elbow that misses.
Kristo must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Weber is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Kristo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Weber. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Weber is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Kristo wants to get back to his feet.
Weber prevents Kristo from improving his position.
Kristo is trying to maintain the position but Weber is very close to passing his half guard.
Weber drops an elbow to the side of Kristo's head.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Weber passes into side control, despite Kristo's attempt to control the position.
Kristo is working to avoid the ground and pound but Weber connects with a decent elbow.

Kristo striking from the bottom but nothing landed.
Kristo can't do much from the bottom here.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Weber stands up and beckons Kristo to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Darrell Weber will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!



Weber gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Kristo to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Kristo trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Weber manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!

Kristo is striking from the bottom but Weber uses the opportunity to pass into half guard.
Weber landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Kristo wants to stand back up but Weber manages to pass into side control.
Kristo is looking to regain half guard here but Weber keeps moving and retains side control.
Kristo managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Weber.
Weber is working Kristo over with some ground and pound from side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Kristo looks to move to half guard but instead Weber has passed into mount! Damn!
Weber with shots to the head and body - Kristo looks very uncomfortable down there.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kristo can do anything to dispel that myth.
Weber landing punches.
Kristo keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Weber has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Kristo's face.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Weber working away from the top, dropping strikes.
Weber pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Kristo is in a horrible position here. Weber smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Weber with a couple of short strikes.
Weber with shots to the head and body - Kristo looks very uncomfortable down there.
The referee warns Kristo that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Weber looking to secure an arm triangle but Kristo defends it well.
Weber lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Kristo is breathing heavily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Weber landing shots from mount.
Kristo is bucking up trying to escape but Weber cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Weber breaks from Kristo's wrist control and lands an elbow.


Kristo is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kristo really wants to buck Weber off and get back to his feet.
Kristo is still in real trouble! Can Weber finish him?
Weber controlling his opponent.
Weber drops a big elbow. That's hurt Kristo! More shots from Weber and the ref steps in! The fight is over!
