Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Pit Mies (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raijin Joaquin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mies comes into the arena with Condemned 84 - Face the agression blaring out of the sound system. Raijin Joaquin has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Pit Mies's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Pit Mies! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Raijin Joaquin! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Daniel Cesar and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mies moves into the clinch. Joaquin tries for a takedown. No joy.
Mies's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Mies slaps away a takedown attempt from Joaquin, before circling back to the center of the mat. Joaquin tries to keep at a distance but Mies has taken the fight into the clinch. Mies breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. The fight moves into the clinch position. Mies drags the fight down to the ground.
Joaquin looking to pass the guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mies pulls Joaquin in close to prevent any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Joaquin trying to stand up but can't free himself from Mies's guard. Mies pulls Joaquin in close to his closed guard and prevents Joaquin from doing any damage or advancing position. Mies keeping moving, preventing Joaquin from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Joaquin trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Mies looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Joaquin displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Mies. Mies lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Mies looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Joaquin is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Mies pulls his head out easily. Mies sitting and controlling from the half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Joaquin is trying to stand.
Mies is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Mies perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Joaquin is looking to control Mies's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Joaquin avoid being mounted?
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Mies in particular looking to stall. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Mies darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Joaquin looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Joaquin looks winded! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Mies wants to stand but Joaquin has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Pit Mies dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Mies misses with a straight left. Mies tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Joaquin manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. A momentary lapse in concentration from Joaquin enables Mies to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Joaquin manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Mies gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Excellent takedown into side control there by Mies. Joaquin struggling a bit here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Joaquin tries to improve position but can't. Joaquin can't do much from the bottom here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mies decides to stand up, so the ref orders Joaquin to his feet. Joaquin blocks a leg kick. Mies could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Mies tries to bum rush Joaquin with a series of wild strikes but Joaquin uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Mies throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Joaquin tries a head kick but it misses.
Mies throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Joaquin crashing down! Joaquin tries to stagger back to his feet but Mies just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Joaquin asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Pit Mies! Pit Mies got down on his knees post fight and begged the management for a title shot. 'Please, I want that title shot so bad! Give it to me!'
