The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slade pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Slade moves in looking to clinch but Liddell pushes him off.
Liddell lands with an uppercut that bounces Slade off the cage and back into rage.
Liddell keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Slade takes one on the chin but seems OK.
The crowd cheers as Liddell lands an impressive looking overhand right. Slade doesn't seem phased though.
Slade swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Liddell throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Slade.

It looks like Kane Slade has been cut.
Liddell circles away from the clinch attempt.

Both fighters circling a little - Liddell finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

Slade takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Slade takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Liddell catches Slade with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Liddell comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Nice uppercut lands for Liddell. That snapped Slade's head back.
Liddell feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Slade's calf.
Liddell fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Slade.
Liddell digs a good body shot into Slade's ribs.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Liddell throws a right and a left that Slade avoids nicely.

Liddell wants to stand but Slade is controlling his posture from full guard.

Liddell gets to his feet. Slade looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Liddell sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Slade to the ground! Liddell dives into full mount looking to finish!

Kane Slade's cut is getting worse.

Liddell stands up from mount. Strange move.
Chuck Liddell seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Liddell scores with a kick to the midsection.
Liddell comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Danga de danga de dang - Liddell scores with a four punch combination!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Slade seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Liddell shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Slade is backing up but Liddell catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Slade covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Liddell Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
