Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kickin Rad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abraham Safforn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rad's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Kids Of The K-Hole. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 34 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kickin Rad!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Abraham Safforn!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slapping leg kick lands for Rad.
Rad misses with a shot to the body

and Safforn counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Rad tries to roll over but Safforn keeps him under control.
Safforn content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Safforn's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rad manages to get to full guard.
Safforn slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Rad working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Safforn doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Safforn manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Rad wants to sweep but no luck.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Rad has control of Safforn's left arm, preventing Safforn from doing any damage.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Rad cracks Safforn with a good jab.


It looks like Abraham Safforn has been cut.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Safforn moves out of range of the body kick.
Rad pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Rad throws an overhand right that lands on Safforn's shoulder, as Safforn tries to avoid the shot.
Rad swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Rad throws a lazy uppercut

and Safforn counters with a shoot takedown. Rad fights it but they end up in guard.
Rad lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Safforn managing to control the position.

Rad trying to control but Safforn is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rad throws a big right hand that misses.
Safforn working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Rad.
Rad throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Safforn works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Rad wants to control from the top but Safforn keeps moving.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Rad lands a nice looking body shot.
Rad misses with an uppercut.
Rad misses with a wild body shot.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Rad throws a body punch but Safforn moves out of range.
Rad looks to land a right hand but Safforn moved out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Kickin Rad will probably get the nod.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Rad tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Safforn swivels and escapes.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Rad.
Safforn walks into a jab.
Rad throws a good cross that connects.
Rad tries to land a front kick but Safforn steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Rad lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
The fight stays on the outside here - Rad looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Safforn takes one to the side of the head.
Abraham Safforn is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Rad sizes up Safforn with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Rad tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Safforn manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Rad throws a leg kick which misses Safforn's front leg but catches the back leg as Safforn tries to avoid it.

Safforn moves out of range of the strikes.
Rad throws a front kick aimed at Safforn's knee but Safforn avoids it well.
Rad is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Safforn checks a leg kick.
Rad throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Rad tries to clinch but Safforn moves out of range.
Safforn slips a straight right by Rad.

Rad tries to clinch there but Safforn circles away.
A telegraphed right hand from Rad misses the target.
A nice inside leg kick there by Rad. That's going to slow Safforn down.
Rad throws a leg kick

and Safforn counters with a single leg into guard. Rad didn't expect that.
Safforn won't allow Rad to sweep him here.

Rad escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Safforn gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Safforn is stalling in the full guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Rad not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Rad seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
Safforn preventing the sweep.

Rad escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Safforn gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Safforn sitting in guard, not really doing much.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Rad misses with an uppercut.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Safforn slips a jab from Rad.
Rad throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Rad turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Rad lands a jab to the head.
Rad fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Safforn.
Rad is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Rad shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Rad was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The ground and pound from Rad seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Rad is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Rad throws a lazy right hand but Safforn sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Rad just misses with a punch to the body.
Rad is trying hard to land a takedown here. Safforn sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Rad throws a hook but Safforn blocks it.

Rad is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Abraham Safforn has got the better of the ground game so far.
