Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sergio Aguilar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mingi Tyyp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Sergio Aguilar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mingi Tyyp!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Micheangelo Fripello and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tyyp drops his hands momentarily and Aguilar takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Aguilar throws out a loose jab but Tyyp uses good head movement to avoid it.
Tyyp has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Aguilar rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Tyyp counters with a nice kick to the body.

Aguilar closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tyyp prevents Aguilar from moving into mount.
Aguilar is looking to take a break and control but Tyyp is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Aguilar has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Aguilar has hold of Tyyp's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Tyyp manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Aguilar jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Tyyp manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Aguilar misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Aguilar throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Aguilar is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Tyyp to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Tyyp shrugs it off.

Aguilar wants to finish this one by submission but Tyyp is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Aguilar.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Tyyp can do anything to dispel that myth.

Aguilar manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Tyyp on his heels. He'll look to pass Tyyp's guard now, I'm sure.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

A very excited looking Sergio Aguilar rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
