Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between George Pierre Hennard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Don Bradman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Don Bradman will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, George Pierre Hennard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Don Bradman!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hennard is looking to clinch but Bradman is avoiding it.
Bradman plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
George Pierre Hennard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hennard shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hennard showed some decent athleticism there.
Bradman is looking to improve his position.
Bradman gets back to full guard.
Bradman can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Hennard controls the pace.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hennard trying to control the position from guard on top but Bradman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Hennard tries to free his leg and advance position but Bradman is retaining full guard.

Hennard wants to control from the top but Bradman keeps moving.
Bradman looking for a sweep. Not yet Bradman, not yet.
Hennard engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hennard seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Bradman for as long as he can get away with.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Hennard tries to clinch up but Bradman circles away and keeps his distance.
Hennard misses with a body shot.
Bradman throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Bradman stuffs the takedown.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Bradman fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Hennard has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Nice uppercut there from Hennard.
Hennard fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bradman avoids it really well and circles away.
Nice sprawl there from Bradman as Hennard shoots in.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for George Pierre Hennard. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hennard looks to score with a jab to the body but Bradman is just out of range.
The fighters circle momentarily. Bradman darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Hennard looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Hennard loads up on a big right hand but Bradman slips the punch.
Hennard will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Bradman throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Hennard changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bradman tries to avoid it but Hennard manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bradman to the ground. Bradman escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Bradman pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Bradman slaps away a takedown attempt from Hennard, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Bradman takes a swing at Hennard's ribcage but misses.
Bradman cracks Hennard with a right hand to the side of the head.
Bradman loads up on a big right hand but Hennard slips the punch.
Hennard misses with a straight left.

Hennard looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Hennard wants to pass the guard but Bradman is keeping the position.
Bradman looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Hennard stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bradman swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Bradman is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Hennard is not content to let Bradman control the position.
Hennard is looking for a sweep. Bradman is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Hennard is looking to control Bradman's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Hennard avoid being mounted?
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Don Bradman dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Hennard takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Nice defenses there by Bradman.
Bradman throws a hook but Hennard blocks it.
Bradman lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Hennard looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bradman is fending him off so far but Hennard persists. Nope, Bradman circles away and we're back to standing.
Bradman has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Bradman slaps away a takedown attempt from Hennard, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Hennard lands with a cross.
Bradman tests Hennard's chin there with a solid looking shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hennard closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Bradman tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Hennard breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hennard fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bradman manages to avoid it.
Hennard tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Bradman defends well and Hennard ends up having to push Bradman into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Hennard is trying to pull guard but Bradman turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Hennard throws a head punch that misses.
Bradman has Hennard pressed against the cage, preventing Hennard from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Hennard has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Bradman after a bit of a struggle.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Bradman.
Bradman keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Hennard's efforts to push away.
Bradman manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Hennard swings wildly with an uppercut but Bradman uses good head movement to avoid it.
Hennard wants to break free but Bradman has control.
Come on Bradman - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Hennard is looking to take this one to the mat.

Bradman prevents a takedown attempt there.
Hennard dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.

Bradman escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hennard fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Bradman misses with a body shot.
Bradman stuffs the takedown.

Hennard looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Hennard is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Don Bradman will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Hennard is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Hennard is working hard here to advance position.
Hennard bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Hennard is looking to take a break and control but Bradman is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
George Pierre Hennard has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
A bone on bone clash there as Hennard blocks the leg kick.

Hennard gets the takedown into side control.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Hennard tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hennard has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Bradman is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Hennard off and has taken his back!

And that's the end of the fight!
George Pierre Hennard showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Bradman has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In his post fight interview, Don Bradman started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
