Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Oscar Boma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Franklin Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boma's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Andrew and Wada Blood - Irie. Jackson has chosen Pink Floyd - Money as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Oscar Boma!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Franklin Jackson!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Alan Glass and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson checks a leg kick.
Jackson scores with a hook.
Jackson has a takedown stuffed.
Jackson looks for a takedown but Boma sprawls well.
Jackson lands with a hook. Boma tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Jackson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Boma manages to avoid it.
Boma looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jackson is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Jackson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Boma pinned against the cage. Boma gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Oscar Boma has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Franklin Jackson.

Boma throws a head kick but Jackson moves out of range.
Jackson cracks Boma with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

and Boma counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Boma.
Boma keeps control of Jackson as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Jackson tries for a takedown but Boma manages to get underhooks.
A nice right hand lands inside from Boma.

Boma lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Jackson backwards.
A nice left hand lands by Boma.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Boma prevents Jackson from breaking the clinch.

Boma gets a warning from the ref for wasting time.
The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Boma for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.
Boma digs a right hand underneath Jackson's ribcage. Jackson let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Boma is pressed up against the cage. Jackson has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Boma down to the mat. Boma avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Jackson scores with a decent looking hook.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Boma seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Jackson throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Franklin Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jackson checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Jackson tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Jackson throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Boma sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Jackson just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromBoma.
Jackson uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Boma.
Jackson ducks under a wild hook from Boma.
Jackson misses with a lunging right hand

and Boma counters with a head kick that drops Jackson to the mat! Jackson scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!


Jackson is rocked!
Jackson misses with a low kick.
Boma is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Jackson.
A looping hook to the body misses from Jackson. Boma does a little dance to reset his feet.
Boma throws a counter high kick but Jackson was just alert enough to avoid it.
Jackson connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Jackson tests Boma's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Boma finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Jackson throws a body punch but Boma moves out of range.
Jackson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Boma defends it nicely.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Boma throws a nice outside leg kick.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Boma just misses with a punch to the body.

A slapping leg kick lands for Jackson.

Jackson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Boma is not content to let Jackson control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Oscar Boma will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Jackson clobbers Boma with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Jackson lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
A jab from Jackson misses.
Jackson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Boma as he jumps to the side.
Jackson throws a lazy uppercut
and Boma counters with a nice low kick that buckles Jackson's knee momentarily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jackson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Jackson fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Boma.
Jackson has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Boma lands a right hand that snaps the head of Jackson backwards.
Boma just leaning against Jackson, taking a breather.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jackson misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Boma.
Boma working aggressively here.
Boma's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Jackson can't break the clinch.

Jackson manages to break the clinch.
Jackson is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Boma just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! Now a right hook, right on the button! Jackson has gone limp and this one is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:39 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Oscar Boma!
