Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mikey Duffy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Russell Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Duffy's entrance music is Down with the Sickness. A fine choice. Russell Wallace has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Mikey Duffy's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mikey Duffy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Russell Wallace! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Wesley Smith and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wallace cracks Duffy with an open hand slap. Wallace throws a front kick that sends Duffy stumbling back into the cage. Wallace closes the distance and pushes Duffy back into the cage. Duffy gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Duffy trying to control the position from guard on top but Wallace is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Wallace is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Duffy with a flurry of punches that miss. Duffy trying to control but Wallace is working from the bottom. Wallace has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Duffy is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Wallace. Duffy throws an elbow but Wallace slips to the side and avoids it well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wallace is trying to get back to half guard. Wallace sneaks back into half guard. Wallace trying to control from the bottom.
Wallace is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Duffy scores with a couple of nice shots. Duffy landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Duffy not landing any meaningful shots this time. Wallace has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Duffy is working away from the top position though. Wallace wants to improve his position but Duffy is controlling well.
Duffy throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wallace preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Wallace moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Duffy throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Wallace works some decent striking defense from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wallace preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Duffy stopping the sweep attempt from Wallace. Wallace working a defensive guard here.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Duffy working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Duffy won't allow Wallace to sweep him here.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Duffy just misses with a punch to the body.
Duffy looks for a takedown but Wallace sprawls well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Duffy misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Wallace.
Duffy moves forwards but Wallace connects with a nice, crisp jab. Wallace catches Duffy with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Duffy fails with a takedown attempt. Duffy misses with a takedown attempt and Wallace counters with a left to the body. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mikey Duffy. That's going to take a lot out of him. Wallace feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Duffy sprawling to the canvas! Duffy rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Wallace finish him?!
Duffy is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Duffy misses with a looping right. Oh Duffy is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Wallace throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Duffy is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Russell Wallace! During a confident post fight interview, Russell Wallace thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
