Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Daniel Cesar and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Romo smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Rugowski connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Romo throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Rugowski swings widly with a right hand
and Romo counters with a straight right hand.
Rugowski has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Rugowski really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Romo misses with a jab, cross combination.
Rugowski looks to land a body kick but Romo moved away.
Romo avoids the head kick by Rugowski.
Rugowski throws a head kick but Romo moves out of range.
Rugowski blocks the body kick.
Rugowski throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Romo looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Rugowski is looking to clinch.
Romo throws a quick inside leg kick.
Rugowski tests Romo's chin there with a solid looking shot.
It looks like John Kyle Romo has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rugowski bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Romo's head.
Romo has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Romo there as he acknowledges the shot.
Romo is rocked!

Rugowski looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Rugowski backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Romo's temple! It sends Romo violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Rugowski celebrates and the doctors try to help Romo!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:06 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Flying Knee). Bubba Rugowski!
