A fine choice. Mickey O Neil has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Ryu Chyn's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
35 - 24 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ryu Chyn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
33 - 27 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mickey O Neil! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Paulo Santos and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! O Neil pushing out the jab but it's not landing. O Neil jabs Chyn to the body, keeping him at a distance. Chyn looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. O Neil's corner calls for a 1-2. O Neil obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Chyn uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from O Neil. O Neil misses with a wild body shot. Chyn shoots in looking for a takedown but O Neil manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Chyn's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. O Neil takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. O Neil lands a two punch combo.
It looks like Ryu Chyn has been cut. O Neil throws a right and a left that Chyn avoids nicely. O Neil throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Chyn closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. O Neil quickly recovers to half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Chyn looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Chyn seems to be looking for submissions.
Chyn is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so O Neil is just riding it out for now. Chyn eventually gives up the hold.
That's one minute gone in the round. O Neil wants to control but Chyn is keeping busy.

Chyn is keen to just control but O Neil is a slippery customer.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. O Neil misses with a hook
so Chyn counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Chyn trying to control the position from guard on top but O Neil is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Chyn engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. O Neil looking to hit a scissor sweep but Chyn is one step ahead there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chyn wants to control from the top but O Neil keeps moving. O Neil wants to sweep but no luck. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. O Neil is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Chyn fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. O Neil looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. O Neil connects with a body shot that sends Chyn's belly button to the back. Chyn drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. O Neil is trying to work for a sweep but Chyn has mounted him! O Neil is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Chyn looking to control but O Neil is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. O Neil is trying to escape the mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Ryu Chyn will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Ryu Chyn's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
O Neil looks to land a left hand but Chyn moved out of range nicely. O Neil scores with a punch to the head. O Neil pushing out the jab but it's not landing. O Neil throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Chyn sees it coming and avoids it easily. O Neil pulls out of a head kick attempt.

O Neil scores with a hook to the body. Chyn takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. O Neil scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Chyn doesn't seem bothered though. Chyn slips a jab and a cross from O Neil.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. O Neil pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Chyn thumps O Neil with a low kick. Chyn tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but O Neil defends well and Chyn ends up having to push O Neil into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Chyn has clasped his hands together around O Neil's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Chyn staying calm.
That's one minute gone in the round. O Neil tries to improve position but can't. Chyn tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. O Neil gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. O Neil is trying to get back to full guard. O Neil trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Chyn manages to pass to mount!

O Neil holds on for dear life, controlling Chyn's posture momentarily. Chyn is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. O Neil can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chyn tries to control but O Neil wriggling away. Chyn has control of O Neil's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and O Neil regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Chyn tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. O Neil regains half guard. Ryu Chyn overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. O Neil is not content to let Chyn control the position. Chyn tries to pass to full mount but O Neil defends it. O Neil trying to control from the bottom.

Ryu Chyn dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Ryu Chyn's cut. That's time! Chyn's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
O Neil goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. O Neil throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Mickey O Neil seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Chyn looks to land a right hand but O Neil moved out of range. O Neil loads up on a big right hand but Chyn slips the punch. Some wild striking there from O Neil.
O Neil lands with an uppercut that bounces Chyn off the cage and back into range. Chyn misses with a hook. Chyn moves out of range of the strikes. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Chyn slips under a jab. O Neil looks to score with a jab to the body but Chyn is just out of range. O Neil swinging wildly here.
O Neil misses with a right hand and Chyn counters with a left and a right that stings O Neil. O Neil throws an overhand right that lands on Chyn's shoulder, as Chyn tries to avoid the shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. O Neil throws an off balance right hand
letting Chyn counter with a right hand. O Neil scores with a jab. Chyn acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Chyn scores with a hook to the body. O Neil takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. O Neil misses the jab. O Neil throws the left hand but Chyn avoids the punch easily. O Neil slips a jab from Chyn. Chyn pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces O Neil back to the cage. Chyn follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
It looks like Mickey O Neil has been cut. O Neil misses with a looping left. O Neil lunges at Chyn with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Chyn's hand. Nice defenses there by Chyn. Ryu Chyn is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. O Neil swings widly with a right hand
and Chyn counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. This has been an exciting period of action! Chyn tries to free his leg and advance position but O Neil is retaining full guard. O Neil trying to keep a closed guard but Chyn is proving a slippery customer.
Mickey O Neil has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. O Neil keeping moving, preventing Chyn from controlling successfully. Chyn pushing down on O Neil's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Chyn works his way into side control. Chyn looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Chyn trying to control the action but O Neil is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. O Neil wants to control but Chyn postures up. Chyn trying to control the position but O Neil is working away. Chyn in side control, just content to control the action for now. Chyn wants to control for a moment but O Neil uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Chyn wants to work for an arm triangle but O Neil is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ryu Chyn. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Chyn, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
