Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jaemin Jeong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Flavio Sandoval (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jeong comes to the cage accompanied by Itaewon Freedom - UV feat JY Park. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Flavio Sandoval enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
21 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jaemin Jeong! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
36 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Flavio Sandoval! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Nard Betker and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jeong will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Sandoval misses with a jab, cross combination.
Jeong shoots in and drives through. Sandoval sprawls well. Jeong throws the kick towards the body but Sandoval avoids it. Sandoval has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Jeong - that will leave a mark!
Jeong gets off balance looking for a body kick and Sandoval counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Sandoval. Sandoval manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Sandoval receives a warning from the referee for stalling. A left hand lands to the body for Sandoval.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jeong lands on the inside with an uppercut. Jeong is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Jeong looking for a takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jaemin Jeong. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sandoval is struggling to control the position. Jeong misses with a hook to the ribs.

Sandoval will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Jeong up against the cage. Jeong taking a breather. A looping hook to the body misses from Sandoval. Jeong does a little dance to reset his feet. Jeong is looking to land body kicks.

Jeong takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Sandoval throws a push kick but Jeong slaps the foot to one side. Sandoval fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Jeong looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. A good leg kick by Sandoval. Sandoval slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Sandoval darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Jaemin Jeong seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jeong gets tackled into the cage by Sandoval. Sandoval maintains the clinch. Sandoval lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Jeong backwards. A body shot lands from Sandoval.

Sandoval defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Jeong. A kick lands to the mid section there for Sandoval. Jeong throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Sandoval counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Sandoval has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Jeong is proving hard to escape from. Sandoval stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. We've been hearing good reports from Jeong's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Jeong misses with a low kick. Jeong connects with a solid leg kick. Sandoval fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jeong manages to avoid it. A punch lands to the side of Jeong 's head but he takes it in his stride. Sandoval takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Sandoval moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Jeong blocks a head kick by Sandoval.

Flavio Sandoval showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Sandoval lands a nice hook to Jeong's body. Jeong takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Jeong takes a shot right to the bread basket. A combination from Sandoval does no damage. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Jeong. Sandoval darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Sandoval working the head and body with strikes. Jeong makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Jeong. Sandoval trying to control but Jeong is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sandoval landing with the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jeong tries to land a sweep but no joy. Sandoval controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Sandoval preventing the sweep. Sandoval trying to control but Jeong is working from the bottom. Sandoval looking to sit in guard and control but Jeong gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jeong works a leg free and moves into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sandoval looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Sandoval keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Jeong seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Sandoval does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Sandoval regains full guard. Nicely done. Jeong slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Sandoval is trying to work for a sweep but Jeong has mounted him! Flavio Sandoval has got the better of the ground game so far. Sandoval tries to lock up and control but Jeong gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Sandoval is looking to get to half guard. Jeong pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Jeong keeping moving, preventing Sandoval from controlling successfully. Sandoval stands up over Jeong, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Jeong is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Sandoval working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Jeong's head. Sandoval wanted to stand there but Jeong had control of the position.

Sandoval is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Sandoval postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Sandoval fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Jeong on the side of the head. Jeong throws a sloppy head kick and Sandoval moves out of range easily. Jeong lands a head kick!

Right on cue, Sandoval cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Jeong manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Sandoval on his heels. He'll look to pass Sandoval's guard now, I'm sure. That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. An elbow from Jeong crashes against the mat.
Jaemin Jeong has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! You can see the frustration on Sandoval's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Jeong pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Jeong takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Jeong takes a shot right to the bread basket. Sandoval tests Jeong's chin there with a solid looking shot. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Jeong throws a front kick that sends Sandoval stumbling back into the cage. Sandoval misses with a leg kick.
And that's the end of the fight! Jaemin Jeong showed his dominance in that final round. Well Sandoval has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Flavio Sandoval took to the microphone after his victory and thanked his sponsors, FFN Vegas-Laundry for their support in the buildup to the fight. Jaemin Jeong spoke after the fight, saying 'I can't stand losing. I'll be back in the gym as soon as possible, working my ass off to make sure I never have to feel like this again.'.
