Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Derek Meyer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, David Kuchinik! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Marco Blurstr�m and Arvi Lind.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight stays on the outside here - Kuchinik looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Kuchinik forces Meyer back against the cage and clinches. Meyer lands a body shot in the clinch.
Kuchinik jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Meyer walks away with a smile on his face. Kuchinik gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Kuchinik takes the fight into the clinch. Meyer is pushing Kuchinik up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Kuchinik tries to break the clinch but Meyer is controlling the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Kuchinik drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Meyer is defending well against a takedown attempt. Derek Meyer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David Kuchinik. Kuchinik digs a right hand into Meyer's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Meyer's gas tank. Kuchinik tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Meyer smiles and moves away.
Meyer wants to clinch
and Kuchinik counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Kuchinik. Kuchinik takes an elbow to the forehead. Meyer trying to stall but Kuchinik improves his position.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Kuchinik wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Meyer slowing the pace effectively. Kuchinik tries to break the clinch but Meyer is controlling the position.
Meyer manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Kuchinik throwing strikes from guard but Meyer blocks nicely. Meyer is trying to keep Kuchinik in close.
Kuchinik postures up in Meyer's guard and throws a big left but Meyer blocks it. Kuchinik is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Kuchinik slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Meyer is being controlled here. Kuchinik tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Kuchinik stands up and beckons Meyer to his feet.
Meyer gets caught flat footed, as Kuchinik shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Kuchinik stands up and waves to Meyer to follow him. Kuchinik misses with a body kick. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kuchinik moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

It looks like Derek Meyer has been cut. Kuchinik will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
David Kuchinik dominated that round. The cut man is working on Derek Meyer's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Kuchinik is looking to clinch. Kuchinik has his takedown stuffed and Meyer connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Meyer misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Kuchinik shoots in looking for a takedown but Meyer manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kuchinik's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Kuchinik connects with a good right hand that stumbles Meyer. Meyer circles away out of range and recomposes himself. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kuchinik looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Meyer shoots in looking for a takedown but Kuchinik manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Meyer's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Meyer with a lazy takedown attempt and Kuchinik counters with a right hand to the body. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Derek Meyer. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Kuchinik pushes Meyer up against the cage in a clinch. Meyer wants to stall.
Kuchinik lands a left hand that snaps the head of Meyer backwards. Meyer letting Kuchinik take a breather here. Kuchinik blocks a body shot from Meyer. Kuchinik jumps guard but Meyer stands there with Kuchinik around his waist. Kuchinik gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Kuchinik makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Meyer is rocked! Kuchinik wants a takedown but no success here.
Kuchinik has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Meyer is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Kuchinik has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Meyer gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Kuchinik.
Kuchinik makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Oh Meyer is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Meyer controlling the action here for a moment.
Meyer seems to have got his legs back now. David Kuchinik seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. Kuchinik is trying to pull guard but Meyer has him pressed against the cage.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Meyer struggles to land a body shot inside as Kuchinik controls his hands.
Kuchinik tries a knee to the head but Meyer blocks it.
Meyer slowing the pace effectively. A body shot lands from Meyer.
Meyer taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Kuchinik is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Meyer is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Kuchinik pulls him back up using the underhooks. Meyer managing to block the knees to the body from Kuchinik.
Kuchinik tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Meyer stalling in the clinch but Kuchinik improves position. Kuchinik is trying to drag Meyer to the mat but Meyer just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Come on Kuchinik - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

David Kuchinik showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Derek Meyer's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Kuchinik with a poor takedown and Meyer counters with an inside leg kick. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kuchinik. Meyer shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kuchinik defends it nicely. Meyer shoots in and drives through. Kuchinik sprawls well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Meyer slaps away a takedown attempt from Kuchinik, before circling back to the center of the mat. Derek Meyer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David Kuchinik. Kuchinik shoots in looking for a takedown. Meyer tries to sprawl out of it but Kuchinik keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Meyer manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Kuchinik takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
 That's one minute gone in the round. No luck with that takedown attempt from Kuchinik. Kuchinik lands the left hand. Meyer tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Kuchinik gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Meyer counters with an outside leg kick.
Derek Meyer is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Meyer displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kuchinik.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Kuchinik fails with a takedown attempt. Horrible takedown attempt by Meyer or perhaps it was just good defense by Kuchinik, which made it look bad. Kuchinik will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Meyer shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kuchinik as he avoids it easily.
 That's three minutes gone in the round.
Meyer clinches. Meyer stalling in the clinch but Kuchinik improves position. Meyer stalling.
Kuchinik can't get the takedown.
The referee is keeping an eye on Meyer - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Meyer misses with a punch on the inside.
Meyer is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Meyer manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Meyer lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Kuchinik is trying to force a seperation but Meyer has the dominant position. Meyer is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Kuchinik is defending well for now. Kuchinik just leaning against Meyer, taking a breather. Kuchinik tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Meyer avoids it. Kuchinik looking for a takedown. A short right from Kuchinik. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! The referee is keeping an eye on Meyer - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Kuchinik creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
And that's the end of the fight! Derek Meyer showed his dominance in that final round. I think Kuchinik has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
