Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Travis Dean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Caio Cobrero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Caio Cobrero has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Travis Dean!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Caio Cobrero!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Tiny Johnson and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dean throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Nice body punch from Dean.
Cobrero shoots in looking for a takedown. Dean tries to sprawl out of it but Cobrero keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dean manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Dean has taken the fight to the clinch.
Dean is trying to pull guard but Cobrero has him pressed against the cage.
Dean manages to break the clinch.
Dean shoots and misses
and Cobrero counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Cobrero controls from within his opponent's guard.
It looks like Cobrero might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Cobrero drops back, looking for a kneebar! Dean looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Dean looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Dean!
Dean tries to move into full mount but can't pass Cobrero's legs.
Cobrero is looking for a sweep.

Dean is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Cobrero knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Dean wants to stand but Cobrero has his arm trapped.
Cobrero is looking for a sweep.
Cobrero wants to control but Dean postures up.
Dean in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cobrero tries to improve position but can't.

Dean postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Cobrero tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Dean wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Dean throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Cobrero's head.
Dean shoots for a double leg takedown but Cobrero sprawls well. He's pushed Dean's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Travis Dean. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Dean moves out of range as Cobrero throws a body kick.
Dean shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Dean knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cobrero on the ground.

A close round but Caio Cobrero will probably get the nod.

Horrible takedown attempt by Cobrero or perhaps it was just good defense by Dean, which made it look bad.
Dean wants to clinch up but Cobrero keeps it at a distance.
Dean scores with a crisp jab that stopped Cobrero in his tracks.
Dean is trying hard to land a takedown here. Cobrero sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Cobrero looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dean is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Cobrero jumps into side control!
Cobrero moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Cobrero is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Dean looks calm but he's in trouble here. Cobrero gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Dean is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Cobrero lets go of the hold and Dean can pop his arm back in it's socket.
