Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mickey Killroy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and TJ Grant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mickey Killroy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, TJ Grant! The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Santiago Holmes and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A punch combination from Killroy misses. Killroy throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Killroy has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Killroy misses with a body shot.
Grant fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Killroy connects with a body shot. Killroy goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Killroy buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Grant steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Killroy. Grant avoids a kick to the body.
Killroy thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Grant if he has to take too many more of those.
Killroy misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Grant shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Killroy as he avoids it easily. Killroy misses with a head kick.
Mickey Killroy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Grant closes the distance and clinches up with Killroy, looking for a takedown. Grant pushes Killroy against the cage but Killroy circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Mickey Killroy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of TJ Grant. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Grant slips a straight right by Killroy. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Grant is defended easily by Killroy. Killroy throws a head kick but Grant moves out of range.

Killroy slaps away a takedown attempt from Grant, before circling back to the center of the mat. Killroy turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Grant fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Killroy avoids it really well and circles away. Killroy tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Killroy thuds a left hand into Grant's body. Killroy lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Killroy is looking to clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Grant moves forwards but Killroy connects with a nice, crisp jab. Killroy throws a sloppy head kick and Grant moves out of range easily. Killroy slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Grant has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Killroy swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Grant counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Killroy tries to get to full guard but Grant has control of the leg. Killroy trying to control but Grant postures up.
Grant not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Killroy is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Grant uses his free foot to push down on Killroy's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Killroy. Grant cracks Killroy with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Killroy is trying to escape the mount.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Killroy is desperately trying to improve his position but Grant has a good base and remains in mount. Grant connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Killroy is rocked! Grant lands a big elbow - Killroy is in trouble! More strikes from the mount and Killroy is forced to tap out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). TJ Grant!
